Maxine Waters was dumbstruck when this Democrat made the nuttiest statement ever in Congress and then tried to top it

One Democrat in Congress apparently thought islands were like boats!

By most accounts, Representative Maxine Waters (D-CA) holds the record for being the most insane Democrat in Congress.

But another House Democrat is giving her a run for her money.

And Maxine Waters got dumbstruck as this Democrat made the nuttiest statement ever in Congress and then tried to top it.

It will tip over!

Guam is a small U.S. island territory in the Pacific.

Due to its strategic location, it is the home to over half a dozen military bases, which account for nearly 30% of the island’s surface.

Congressman Hank Johnson (D-GA) has made some bizarre statements over the years.

One of his best gems occurred during a 2010 House Armed Services Committee hearing.

The committee was discussing plans to further increase American military presence in Guam.

“My fear is that the whole island will become so overly populated that it will tip over and capsize,” he said during the hearing with a straight face.

“We don’t anticipate that,” Admiral Robert Willard replied, “The Guam population, I think, is currently 175,000. And again, with 8,000 Marines and their families, that’s an addition of about 25,000 more into the population,” he continued.

You could tell that Admiral Willard was struggling to hold back his laughter in the face of this ridiculous concern.

Johnson has made some bizarre statements over the years.

Johnson likened parents who showed up to school board meetings to voice their concerns over Critical Race Theory and lewd material in school libraries to the January 6 capitol riot.

“And people on the local level at affected school board meetings, they won’t forget the MAGA Republicans descending on their school board meetings after January 6, like January 6, disrupting meetings. It was a coordinated attack happening across the country. Americans won’t forget about it. School board members, teachers, administrators, subjected to violence, threats of violence, harassment, intimidation,” he said.

The Georgia Democrat also claimed the classified documents that were found in Joe Biden’s home were “planted.”

He also accused Republican Congressman Chip Roy of pushing “White Power” and compared Jewish Israeli settlers to “termites.”

Clearly Congressman Johnson isn’t playing with a full deck.

Johnson’s Supreme scheme

Ever since Trump appointed three Supreme Court Justices, Democrats have been scheming to undermine the institution.

Democrats like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have channeled the late President FDR with threats to pack the court.

Johnson is taking a different approach and is calling for term limits for Justices.

He introduced the Supreme Court Tenure Establishment and Retirement Modernization Act (TERM), which would impose 18-year term limits on justices.

The TERM act is blatantly unconstitutional on its face, as Article 3 of the U.S. Constitution specifies that Justices are appointed for life.

“We want to prevent this kind of rot and decay from ever overtaking a Supreme Court again,” Johnson claimed. “And term limits would enable that to happen.”

Johnson himself has been in Congress since 2007 and is running for a 10th term.

Johnson expected Kamala Harris would support his bill if elected.

“She’s supportive of efforts like my legislation,” he said. “So I look forward to having future conversations with, hopefully, President-elect and future President Kamala Harris and her team.”
