The nonstop lawfare used against Donald Trump is finally coming to a conclusion.
Democrats thought that it would be their saving grace to keep him from returning to the White House.
And Alvin Bragg just heard one prediction by a federal prosecutor that has him fuming in rage.
Democrat Judge presses pause button on Trump sentencing
President-elect Donald Trump was expected to appear back in court in November for sentencing following the bogus show trial led by the Soros-backed Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg,
But Trump’s election day victory forced Democrat Judge Juan Merchan’s hand into suspending the case from moving forward any further.
Bragg’s office filed a request to simply pause the case so they can conjure up a plan for what his office will do next.
Former federal prosecutor Andrew McCarthy recently appeared on Fox News where he predicted that Donald Trump would eventually see his guilty verdict overturned completely on appeal.
Fox News host Bill Hemmer had asked McCarthy if he believed that the case would start up once again once Trump left the White House in 2029.
“Yeah, well, if they deign to bring it back, I mean, look, it’s a ridiculous case,” began McCarthy. “There’s a lot of reasons why it should be thrown out on appeal.”
The legal team behind Trump had submitted a motion to throw the case out entirely following the Supreme Court decision to recognize Presidential immunity.
“Immunity is important to us for immediate purposes only because it’s the only issue that’s instantly appealable,” he explained to Hemmer.
New York may overturn conviction of Trump during appeal
McCarthy argued that, for the good of the country, he expected the New York appeals process to result in the court stepping in to throw out the ridiculous conviction of Donald Trump.
“There’s a bunch of reasons why this case should be thrown out, and I would hope that there’d be a good chance once President Trump is out of office as a twice-elected American president that at the age of 83, the New York authorities would decide that, you know, this case was already, whatever it was worth to them, they’ve gotten whatever value there was out of it,” argued McCarthy.
He noted that the only reason the charges were presented against Trump in the first place was to try and prevent Trump from being able to return to the White House.
“Since it didn’t succeed, I think it should land on the dustbin of history,” continued the former federal prosecutor.
Hemmer then asked McCarthy if the conviction would be overturned once the case resumes following the completion of Trump’s second term.
“That’s right, Bill. And, you know, you would pick up, I presume, again, I haven’t read it yet, but I presume you would pick up right where we are now,” responded McCarthy. “And where we are now is that we have a pending immunity issue.”
“And as we saw in the Washington federal case, immunity, because it has to be fully litigated before you do anything else in a criminal case, or at least that’s the way it’s supposed to happen, it could take a long time just to sort that out before you get to all the other issues in the case,” he concluded.
Alvin Bragg’s politically motivated lawfare against Trump will forever be remembered as one of the biggest boosts for Trump to help him return to the Oval Office.
