Becoming President of the United States is a life-altering event for both the candidate and his entire family.
The Trump family is re-learning that lesson after Trump’s huge victory in November.
And First Lady Melania Trump made one life-altering decision after son Barron weighed in on this issue.
Thanks to Barron, Melania Trump put the media rumors to rest about her plans for the next four years.
Melania Trump redefined the role of First Lady during Donald Trump’s first term in office.
America had simply never seen a First Lady like her before.
One big reason for this was Melania setting an example by putting her family first and delaying her move to D.C. because the couple’s son Barron was just 10 years old at the time.
Melania Trump wanted to be a mom first, and she remained behind in New York so Barron could finish out the school year with his friends.
Previous First Ladies like Michelle Obama, Jill Biden, and Hillary Clinton couldn’t wait to move into the White House and become involved in political debates and even running the country.
But not so for Melania Trump.
Fox News host Ainsley Earhardt recently asked Melania where she planned to spend the next four years in an interview that took place days before Donald and Melania Trump returned to the White House.
“And where will you be spending most of your time, in the White House? Palm Beach? Here in New York?” Earhardt wondered.
Melania answered that this time she would spend the majority of her time in Washington, D.C., and traveling to New York and Mar-a-Lago as family obligations required.
“I will be in the White House,” she replied. “And you know, when I need to be in New York, I will be in New York, when I need to be in Palm Beach, I will be in Palm Beach,” Melania replied.
Melania explained that for now, her number one obligation is still to be a mom to Barron, but after the move to the White House is complete, her chief priority would be serving the country.
“But my first priority is, you know, to be a mom, to be a first lady, to be a wife,” Melania continued. “And once we’re in, you serve the country.”
Last fall, CNN reported the fake news that Melania Trump wouldn’t accompany Donald Trump back to D.C. if he won a second term.
CNN reported fake news about Melania
“Melania Trump is unlikely to move to Washington full time in her second go-round as first lady, multiple sources told CNN, once more showing signs of her willingness to buck tradition as she returns to her high-profile but unelected role on the world stage. Discussions about how and where she’ll spend her time are ongoing, the sources said,” CNN reported.
Melania told Earhardt in a previous Fox News interview that Barron Trump was in college in New York and that his situation could affect hers.
“I could not say I’m an empty nester. I don’t feel that way,” Melania said to Earhardt.
“It was his decision to come here, that he wants to be in New York, study in New York, and live in his home and I respect that. … He’s enjoying his college days. I hope he will have a great experience because his life is very different than any other 18-, 19-year-old child,” Melania added.
Ever since Donald Trump won his first election, the mainstream media has obsessed over a ridiculous conspiracy theory that Melania was a secret member of the resistance and hated Donald Trump being President.
This most recent interview and Melania’s subsequent actions should end that garbage once and for all.
