Vice President J.D. Vance and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis are considered the most likely men to succeed President Donald Trump come 2028.
The victor very well could be determined by which leader most effectively wins over Trump supporters.
And now America’s Governor just issued one alert that has President Trump grinning from ear to ear.
Hop on board the Don-Ron rollercoaster
Despite being ideologically aligned on the vast majority of issues, President Donald Trump and Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) were political rivals not long ago.
Trump wanted the second term in the White House that he was deprived of in 2020 – meanwhile, DeSantis believed it was his time to rise to the Presidency.
The two men squared off in a crowded GOP primary field.
At first it was a close contest.
However, once the Democrat Party’s lawfare attempts against Trump began to unfold, the then-former President began to run away with the primary.
🚨 HOLY SH*T. Governor Ron DeSantis just absolutely torched this reporter and came to Trump’s defense when they attacked Trump over the criticism of Gavin Newsom. This may be his best moment yet.

Upon leaving the primary, Governor DeSantis immediately endorsed his then-rival, and threw his support behind Trump’s campaign.
And while some of the most ardent MAGA voters still hold a grudge, America’s Governor has been one of Trump’s top defenders in recent weeks.
Trump and DeSantis join forces
DeSantis disabused Big Media reporters who were criticizing Trump’s calls for Governor Newsom to resign in wake of the Los Angeles wildfires.
Even more importantly, DeSantis went to bat for Trump’s plans for mass deportation of criminal illegal aliens.
The Governor of the Sunshine State released his own eight-point plan to assist ICE in the mass deportation efforts.
Americans have given President Trump a mandate to secure the southern border and end the illegal immigration crisis. Florida must step up to help carry out this mission.

DeSantis even called for a special legislative session to advance the plan.
Trump posted his gratitude to DeSantis on his Truth Social platform.
“Thank you, Ron,” Trump posted. “Hopefully other Governors will follow!”
The two even celebrated together.
🚨 BREAKING: Trump and DeSantis golfed today.
This comes the day after DeSantis announced a special session of the legislature to enforce Trump’s deportations.
Trump has since rallied to DeSantis’ defense against GOP leaders who oppose the session.

DeSantis joined Trump on the links.
The Florida Governor joked that he and the President won a handicap match against three opponents.
And now President Trump has even more reason to be pleased with America’s Governor.
The Gulf of America is now officially documented
As one of his many day-one executive orders, President Trump turned something many political pundits thought was a joke into a reality.
One Trump executive officially recognizes what was known as the Gulf of Mexico now as the Gulf of America.
And Governor DeSantis was one of the first to put the new name into effect.
🚨🚨🚨Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has officially referenced the ‘Gulf of America’ in a state Executive Order following Trump’s desire to rename the body of water.

Breitbart News is reporting that DeSantis used “Gulf of America” in a weather advisory from his office.
As a winter storm that brought snow to the Sunshine State was forming, DeSantis warned Floridians and issued a state of emergency.
“WHEREAS, an area of low pressure moving across the Gulf of America, interacting with Arctic air, will bring widespread impactful winter weather to North Florida beginning Tuesday, January 21, 2025…” DeSantis’ state of emergency executive order reads.
Independent journalist Benny Johnson noted: “This is the first official state executive documentation of the Gulf of America.”
