Democrats spent the Trump years swearing they are not secret socialists.
A disabled veteran from Georgia just called C-SPAN and blew that denial apart.
He named the only Republican he trusts and she is already walking out the door.
Independent Veteran Says He Is Done Watching Democrats Chase Socialism
Tim identifies as an independent.
He served 11 years in the United States military and lives with a disability from that service.
On C-SPAN's Washington Journal, a host asked him a simple question about the November midterms.
Which party gets his vote.
Tim did not hedge.
"The Democrats have lost their mind," he told the host.
He said the party he once considered voting for is trying to hand the country to a socialist republic.
Then he asked the question every host dreads on live television.
What military would even defend that.
He said he would never have signed up to defend a socialist government, and he is not interested in living under one now.
That is not spin from a campaign consultant.
That is a disabled veteran telling C-SPAN's live audience exactly where the Democrat Party has driven him.
The Polling Shows Tim Is Not an Outlier
Democrats can dismiss one caller.
They cannot dismiss the numbers.
More than half of Democrats now tell Fox News pollsters they like what socialism has to offer.
Independent voters do not agree.
Barely one in five independents feel the same, and more than three-quarters want nothing to do with it.
That is not a small gap.
That is a canyon between the Democrat base and the voters both parties need in November.
A separate Newsmax-reported survey found the same split shows up even when pollsters drop the party labels entirely and just ask people to pick a system.
Given a straight choice, voters walk away from big government control and toward the free market almost every time.
Tim is not some fringe outlier that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her allies can spin away.
He is the exact voter their own pollsters are quietly panicking about.

The Tim Delima
Tim's second target wasn’t exactly clear.
He said GOP lawmakers roll over the moment Trump puts anything in front of them.
He seemed to make one exception.
Marjorie Taylor Greene.
Tim did not get the name exactly right on live television, but his description only fits one person: the Georgia congresswoman who broke publicly with Trump earlier this year over the Epstein files and announced she would resign from Congress.
Tim praised her as the one Republican willing to fight, and in the same breath admitted she is gone before he even gets to vote for her again.
That is the trap Tim is describing.
Independents are fleeing socialism on the left, and finding an empty bench on the right.
Tim's solution is blunt.
Hold his nose, vote Republican anyway, and hope enough backbone shows up after the ballots are counted.
Why AOC and the Gutless Among the GOP Should Both Be Worried About Tim
Here is what actually fires me up about this call.
Democrats keep insisting their socialist wing is small, while their own voters tell Fox pollsters the opposite.
You cannot let AOC campaign for democratic socialists and watch Zohran Mamdani win New York City on that platform, then act shocked when a disabled veteran in Georgia notices the pattern.
Voters like Tim are not partisans looking for a reason to hate Democrats.
They are the exact swing voters both parties claim to want, and right now neither party is giving them a real reason to stay put.
That combination is what actually moves elections, not cable news shouting matches.
If Republican so-called leaders like John Thune and Mike Johnson cannot find more Republicans willing to say what that one Georgia congresswoman said, the reality is voters like Tim will keep holding their noses but won’t actually show up and lodge their protest vote for Republicans either.
Still, Democrats should be far more worried about that poll gap than any single viral clip.
