Cori Bush vowed she was coming to take back her Missouri seat.
On Tuesday night the far-left firebrand finally got her rematch against Wesley Bell.
What happened when the votes came in left Bush screaming into a microphone in front of her own supporters.
Bush Loses by More Than Twenty Points to the Man She Vowed to Destroy
Wesley Bell beat Cori Bush by more than 22 points on Tuesday night.
The Associated Press called the race before nine o'clock, with barely a quarter of precincts finished counting.
Bush lost this same seat to Bell in 2024 by just five points.
This time St. Louis Democrats didn't leave it close.
Bell walked away with 59 percent of the final vote to Bush's 37 percent.
Bush spent two years promising St. Louis she would come back stronger than ever.
Bernie Sanders campaigned for her.
The Democratic Socialists of America poured money and volunteers into her comeback bid.
None of it mattered once Missouri Democrats actually got to the ballot box.
Bush Melts Down on Stage After the Landslide Becomes Official
Bush didn't concede quietly.
She grabbed the microphone at her own watch party and started screaming at the very voters who'd just rejected her.
"And it pisses me off," Bush shouted, her voice cracking with rage.
She accused Bell of building his entire campaign on smears without naming a single one.
Then she turned her fire on the St. Louis residents she needed to win back.
She warned them not to let politeness decide who represents them, insisting they didn't need to play nice.
Nobody in that room asked Cori Bush to be respectable.
They asked her to be effective, and by more than 20 points they told her she wasn't.
Her campaign's legal troubles never helped her case either.
A Justice Department investigation into Bush paying her own husband campaign money for security work has followed her for two years.
St. Louis voters remembered that too.
Cori Bush Didn’t Need AIPAC’s Money to Defeat Herself
United Democracy Project, AIPAC's political arm, spent more than 3 million dollars this cycle to keep Bell in Congress.
That's on top of the nearly 9 million dollars AIPAC spent driving Bush out of office back in 2024.

Bell outraised Bush by almost three to one, pulling in 3.6 million dollars to her 1.3 million.
Michigan's Democratic Socialists had their own rough night too, with a DSA-backed congressional candidate getting blown out by 16 points in a race the left had circled as a sure thing.
The socialist wave national Democrats keep warning each other about is starting to look a lot more like a ripple.
Cori Bush wanted this loss to look like a referendum on AIPAC.
It wasn't.
It was a referendum on Cori Bush.
This is a woman who vowed to enshrine “trans rights” and “abortion rights” in the Constitution.

Two years of promising vengeance ended with Bush screaming at the same neighbors she needed to save her political career.
Democrats keep insisting their party's future belongs to the activist left.
Maybe it does maybe it doesn’t.
But there’s another story here.
Wesley Bell is a far-left self-described progressive who wants to abolish ICE and take money from other Americans and transfer it to cronies as “Community Project Funding.”
That sounds a whole lot like Tim Walz.
That sounds a whole like AIPAC itself.

And you can bet Bell will vote to put “trans rights” and “abortion rights” in the Constitution just like Bush if he thinks it helps him.
The foreign-aligned lobbying group wouldn’t care if he did because it doesn’t care about either.
Nor does it care about Republican values or getting conservatives elected despite what Fox News might say.
That much was clear after they spent huge to defeat the most conservative man in Congress earlier this year.
AIPAC cares about having a lock on votes on both sides of the American political aisle to ensure that American taxpayer money keeps flowing to their cronies in the Middle East.
So they replaced Thomas Massie on the November ballot in Kentucky with some milquetoast RINO named Ed Gallrein.
In Missouri, they didn’t defeat a far leftist, they replaced one far leftist with another and then spent big again Tuesday night to keep him in DC.
The $12 million or so AIPAC and their aligned groups spent against Bush the last two cycles and the at least $9 million they spent against Massie this year, on top of the reported $400,000 they spent in 2024, bought them two hides to hang on the barn – a warning to both parties to keep them at the trough.
Some Americans on both sides of the aisle are okay with that. Many aren’t.
But the fact is it’s right there in the name of AIPAC's political arm, United Democracy Project.
One way or another it will unite Americans – but it’s not for “our Democracy” and it’s definitely not for this American Republic.
