The left murdered Charlie Kirk one year ago today.
But they didn't kill what he built.
And what happened eight days before that bullet ended his life is something every parent in America needs to know about.
The Idea That Outlived the Man
On September 2, 2025, the first class of 34 students walked through the doors of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.
Eight days later, a sniper's bullet from a rooftop at Utah Valley University ended Charlie Kirk's life at 31 years old.
The program he launched kept going.
That program is TPUSA Prep Year.
And the man now running it, Dr. David Arnott, has a mission statement you can put on a bumper sticker: make more Charlie Kirks.
Arnott is a Christian economist who spent 12 years studying one central question – why do we keep falling for socialism?
His answer: it's not a policy problem, it's an education problem.
Not education about facts.
Education about wisdom.
"AI can't teach character," Arnott told Fox News at FreedomFest in Las Vegas. "And that's what we teach at prep year. That's what Charlie Kirk wanted us to teach."
He's right.
College campuses spent the last 30 years pumping out graduates who could quote Marx but couldn't tell you why America was worth defending.
Gallup found that only 37% of Americans now have confidence in higher education – and the leading reason isn't cost.
It's bias.
Four times as many college professors identify as liberal than conservative, and the universities have spent decades making conservative students feel like strangers on their own campuses.
What Kirk Built and Democrats Could Never Kill
The radical left thought a bullet could stop Turning Point USA.
They were wrong.
Erika Kirk, Charlie's widow, took over as CEO and chair of the board within days of the assassination.
The Prep Year program graduated its first class of 34 students on May 22, 2026.
A third went to college.
A third went into the trades.
A third are finding their own path.
That's the whole point.
Kirk wrote The College Scam in 2022 because he saw what the universities were doing to young Americans – saddling them with six-figure debt in exchange for four years of left-wing indoctrination while the government subsidized the whole operation.
"The problem is the government puts their thumb on the scale by supporting the price of college," Arnott explained. "And of course, forgiving the debt, which they shouldn't do anyway. If the government would just leave it alone, we'd be happy."
This fall, Prep Year expands to a second campus at Judson University in Elgin, Illinois, with both locations targeting 35 to 80 students combined.
The curriculum covers Scripture, the founding documents, the Western canon, and classical teaching methods – the things universities quietly buried under DEI requirements and gender theory.
Dante, Virgil, Homer.
The stuff the universities replaced.
The Left Killed the Man and Proved His Point
Here's what the left will never understand about what they did on September 10, 2025.
They shot Charlie Kirk because they couldn't beat him in an argument.
Twenty-two-year-old Tyler Robinson told officials he killed Kirk because he "spreads too much hate" – which is what the universities and the media machine call anyone who tells young Americans the truth.
Kirk's death didn't silence the movement.
It proved his case.
The second Prep Year cohort is bigger than the first.
And on this anniversary, Utah Governor Spencer Cox declared September 10 officially Charlie Kirk Day – while Turning Point USA gathered at the UCCU Center at Utah Valley University with people who refused to let the left have the final word.
That is what winning looks like.
Not silence.
Not retreat.
The left wanted to end Charlie Kirk.
Instead they created a martyr whose ideas are now being taught to a new class of young Americans every year – and growing.
"If I had one sentence, a mission statement for prep year," Arnott said, "it is to make more Charlie Kirks."
They're doing exactly that.
And there's nothing the radical left can do to stop it.
