Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle is facing a major fork in the road.
Markle and her husband Prince Harry have found themselves hitting rock bottom and facing tough choices.
And the desperate decision made by Meghan Markle came completely out of left field.
Meghan and Harry are most unwelcome in the United Kingdom
Prince Harry recently traveled to the United Kingdom for the tenth anniversary of the Invictus Games.
But it wasn’t the happy homecoming Harry hoped for.
Harry stayed in a hotel rather than at any of his family’s properties and his father King Charles III refused to see him.
A statement from Harry attempted to explain that King Charles had a full dance card and there was no time to meet with his wayward Prince son.
“In response to the many inquiries and continued speculation on whether or not the Duke will meet with his father while in the UK this week, it, unfortunately, will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full programme,” the statement said.
If anyone held out any hope for a mending of royal fences, that statement slammed the door on them, according to Fox News Digital writer Chantz Martin.
Martin wrote that because of Markle and Harry smearing the Royal Family and airing their dirty laundry in public, their popularity in the United Kingdom has plummeted with less than one-third of UK residents approving of them.
“The rift Harry and Meghan caused with the royal family has resulted in their popularity plumbing the depths in the UK. Even as a new Ipsos poll shows a boost in popularity for the royal family since the coronation last year, the results for the California couple are devastating. Both Catherine, Princess of Wales, and Prince William’s popularity have jumped to 69%, while Meghan’s has plummeted to 25% and Harry’s languishes at 31%,” Martin wrote.
Markle and Harry destroyed their reputations in a 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, where Markle accused the Royal Family of racism.

Meghan and Harry next became a punchline in Hollywood.
Spotify canceled their podcast deal after the couple only produced sporadic and poorly done episodes of their Archetypes podcast.
The company’s head of sports content, Bill Simmons, blasted the two as “f**king grifters” and said he would like to “shoot Harry into the sun.”
“‘The f****** grifters.’ That’s the podcast we shoulda launched with them. I gotta get drunk one night and tell the story of the Zoom I had with Harry to try and help him with a podcast idea. It’s one of my best stories,” Simmons declared on an episode of his podcast.
“Shoot this guy to the sun. I’m so tired of this guy,” Simmons added. “What does he bring to the table? He just whines about s**t and keeps giving interviews. … Who cares about your life? You weren’t even the favorite son. … I can’t stand him.”
The cutting edge show South Park then mocked the two in an episode by having them go on a worldwide tour to demand their privacy.
Harry and Meghan’s last-ditch tour
Harry and Meghan are on a world tour of a different sort now.
Meghan accompanied Harry to Nigeria – which won the right to serve as a future site of the Invictus Games.
Martin wrote that Harry and Meghan were so desperate for adulation and attention that they arranged this trip to reclaim some of the celebrity glory they had when they used to travel with a Royal entourage.
“The tour has an unmistakable, quasi-royal feel, raising speculation of desperate attempts by the Sussexes to cling to remnants of their former life, though they famously rejected that life when they stepped back from royal service in 2020,” Martin wrote.
Markle and Harry have suffered quite the fall from grace.
For many celebrities hitting rock bottom means a rebound is on the way because if there is one thing the American public loves, it’s a comeback story.
But Harry and Meghan have become so universally unlikeable that Nigeria seems to be the only place left on earth they can travel to for a warm welcome.
No wonder Meghan didn’t stay home.
