Biden ordered to renew border wall construction
Federal Judge Drew Tipton has issued a preliminary injunction stopping President Joe Biden from diverting money away from border wall construction.
At question is the money that Congress appropriated back in 2019 to build the wall.
“The Government and all its respective officers, agents, servants, employees, attorneys, and other persons who are in active concert or participation with them are hereby ENJOINED and RESTRAINED from implementing the July 2022 Amended Plan to the extent that its obligations are not authorized under Subsection 209(a)(1) and Section 210 as laid out in this Order,” Tipton’s order read.
“The Government is prohibited from obligating funds under Subsection 209(a)(1)—and corresponding funds under Section 210—toward mitigation and remediation efforts, repair of existing barrier, so-called system attribute installation at existing sites, or other similar purposes. Those types of expenses may be authorized under Subsections (a)(2) through (a)(5) where appropriate, however, Subsection (a)(1) permits only the construction of physical barriers, such as additional walls, fencing, buoys, etc.,” Tipton’s order continued.
Biden halted construction of the border wall after taking office in 2021.
The action was done as a way to signal to illegal aliens that they were free to cross the border freely.
But Texas and Missouri sued Biden to stop him from illegally diverting funds appropriated by Congress from their stated purpose.
Immediate fallout from the ruling
Texas Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton immediately praised Judge Tipton for upholding the rule of law and reining in a rogue Joe Biden.
“Biden acted completely improperly by refusing to spend the money that Congress appropriated for border wall construction, and even attempting to redirect those funds,” a statement from Paxton read. “His actions demonstrate his desperation for open borders at any cost, but Texas has prevailed.”
A recent Gallup poll found the American people believe immigration is the biggest issue facing the country.
And it’s no wonder, Biden has issued over 90 executive orders since taking office, all of which gutted immigration enforcement and opened the border to unprecedented levels.
The American people are understandably furious with the results since more than seven million illegal aliens have flooded the nation and are overrunning cities and communities.
Biden’s not even trying to fix the problem.
In fact, at every turn, he’s fighting in court to prevent any border security enforcement.
Not only did he fight the states of Texas and Missouri on border wall construction, but also took Texas to court twice to try and stop the state from carrying out immigration enforcement.
Biden sued Texas to stop them from laying razor wire and placing buoys in the Rio Grande River to deter illegal aliens from crossing the border.
He also sued Texas to block a state law that allows local police to return anyone to the border caught illegally entering the state.
Joe Biden cares more about increasing his power than he does carrying out his oath of office, and the American people are suffering because of it.
The lawlessness of the Biden Presidency begins at the southern border.
