Joe Biden promised to use Executive Orders to ram through portions of the Democrats’ socialist agenda his very first day in office.
And during his first two weeks in the White House, he issued more executive orders than Trump and Obama combined in their first two weeks.
But a federal judge just poured cold water on one of Joe Biden’s major policies.
On his first day in office, Joe Biden issued a flurry of executive orders on a number of the left’s top priorities, from canceling the Keystone XL Pipeline to stopping all new oil and gas leasing on federal land and rejoining the U.S. in the Paris Climate Agreement and the World Health Organization (WHO).
But one of Joe Biden’s top priorities was issuing a 100-day nationwide pause on virtually all deportations of illegal aliens.
Open border, pro-amnesty liberals cheered Biden’s decision, while caravans of illegal aliens were motivated to start marching toward our border believing they had 100 days to find their way into America while our nation’s guard was down.
However, Texas State Attorney General Ken Paxton sued the Biden Administration over his suspension of deportations, and Texas District Court Judge Drew Tipton just ruled against Biden by granting a preliminary injunction blocking the deportation pause.
“This preliminary injunction is granted on a nationwide basis and prohibits enforcement and implementation of the [100-day pause] in every place Defendants have jurisdiction to enforce and implement the January 20 Memorandum,” Tipton ruled.
Judge Tipton cited the financial burden imposed on states like Texas as the main reason for issuing his ruling.
“[T]he core failure of DHS lies not in the brevity of the January 20 Memorandum or the corresponding administrative record, but instead in its omission of a rational explanation grounded in the facts reviewed and the factors considered,” Tipton added. “This failure is fatal, as this defect essentially makes DHS’s determination to institute a 100-day pause on deportations an arbitrary and capricious choice.”
Even though Joe Biden and the Democrats are determined to open our borders and grant amnesty to the millions of illegal aliens currently living in America, judges like Drew Tipton are currently protecting the American people by blocking the ability of criminal aliens to remain in America and pose a danger to the public.
Because – as the courts have pointed out – there’s no legitimate reason to institute a 100-day ban on deporting illegal immigrants.
That would only serve to hurt American society – which is indicative of where the Biden administration’s priorities are.
