Big Pharma would like you to be cold in the ground before they reveal the data behind their jabs.
The vaccines that are making them $60,000 a minute, after all.
But a federal judge schooled the FDA and Pfizer execs are freaking out.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA), apparently ever loyal to certain lobbyists, trotted out a plan to keep Pfizer’s secrets for 75 years.
But now, a federal judge slammed down his gavel on that nonsense in a ruling that must be inducing panic attacks inside Joe Biden’s Administration—and at Pfizer’s corporate headquarters.
The judge threw out the FDA’s insane argument that it “needs” 75 years to release papers outlining exactly how Pfizer’s Covid-19 vaccines have been developed since the beginning of the pandemic.
Instead, US District Judge Mark Pittman informed the government agency it has exactly eight months to get its ducks in a row.
The order comes after a group of doctors and scientists filed a Freedom of Information Act request to have about 450,000 pages of safety data made public.
The FDA originally pushed to only release 500 pages a month—an extreme example of foot dragging that would cause the process to take about seven and a half decades.
The judge listened to all their whiny excuses about why it was “unduly burdensome” for paper-pushing bureaucrats to actually do their jobs.
But in his ruling Pittman was quick to remind agency top bosses that this isn’t a dictatorship—and they’re not in charge.
“‘Open government is fundamentally an American issue’—it is neither a Republican nor a Democrat issue. As James Madison wrote, ‘[a] popular Government, without popular information, or the means of acquiring it, is but a Prologue to a Farce or a Tragedy; or, perhaps, both. Knowledge will forever govern ignorance: And a people who mean to be their own Governors, must arm themselves with the power which knowledge gives.”
And, because that scathing rebuke clearly wasn’t enough, he invoked the name of “Kennedy” to make Democrats squirm.
“John F. Kennedy likewise recognized that ‘a nation that is afraid to let its people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market is a nation that is afraid of its people.’”
The amount of fear oozing from the FDA—and the big pharmaceutical companies who may well have hoodwinked the nation to varying degrees—was practically palatable the moment they told us it would take 50 plus years to spill their secrets.
Then, when that balloon wasn’t immediately popped after they floated it out—sheer arrogance took over and they added half again as much time.
Now we can only hope Pittman’s ruling will stand—and that the Powers That Be won’t get away with running black lines through the substance of whatever those precious documents contain.
Chances are it’s a whole lot more interesting than your average “safety data” sheet.
