The Biden regime’s effort to wage lawfare against Donald Trump can’t solve all his problems.
Now what many Americans are beginning to see as the most corrupt and lawless administration ever, could be in deep trouble as Biden’s White House melts down.
According to former federal prosecutor Andrew McCarthy, Republicans have a legitimate opening to attempt impeaching Joe Biden.
Investigations led by House Republicans have already yielded plenty of evidence that Joe Biden was deeply involved with his son Hunter’s sketchy foreign business deals.
In fact, Hunter Biden’s former business associates have testified that back when Joe Biden was Barack Obama’s Vice President, he used a speaker phone to join 20 different business meetings in order to advance Hunter’s plans involving “selling the brand.”
During his time as Vice President, Biden also joined some of the oligarchs for dinner—the same wealthy individuals who paid the Biden family and their associates $20 million.
On top of all that, Republicans have uncovered evidence that Joe Biden used fake names to conceal the fact that as Vice President he was copying his son on emails containing details about government business in Ukraine.
That occurred during the time when Hunter Biden was getting paid an astronomical sum to serve on energy company Burisma’s board of directors at Burisma.
The Biden Department of Justice is also apparently being put to work to serve the Biden family’s best interests.
The Justice Department has repeatedly meddled enough to ensure that Joe Biden’s son doesn’t face any serious consequences in the way of criminal charges.
Republicans digging into the situation also discovered that the FBI has been concealing the existence of a form FD-1023 that contains a credible source’s allegations that the founder of Burisma paid Joe Biden a $5 million bribe.
The money was reportedly handed over to ensure Joe Biden would use his position as Vice-President of the most powerful country on the planet to force the Ukrainian government to fire a prosecutor that was investigating Burisma for corruption.
Of course, the Biden regime is trying to shove those scandals out of sight and out of mind by preventing GOP Congressional investigators from conducting their oversight duties.
According to Andrew McCarthy, at this point House Speaker Kevin McCarthy is justified in using his Constitutional oversight to open an impeachment inquiry.
Andrew McCarthy, who is not related to the Speaker, says doing so would “stand on the principle that the executive branch can’t withhold this information from Congress. And that ought to be something that every Republican can agree with, even if they don’t want to go down the impeachment road, which is a long way from now.”
During an interview on Fox News, host Dana Perino asked the former prosecutor what an impeachment inquiry timeline would look like.
McCarthy suggested a sequence of events that starts this fall with Congress’ return from summer recess.
He believes it’s likely Republicans will ramp up their impeachment inquiry to correspond with the Democrats effort to wage lawfare against Donald Trump.
“When you mentioned before that the next debate was coming up in a month, I was thinking the week after the next debate, Trump’s first big civil trial starts in New York. And he could be on trial himself pretty much from October through next summer, depending on how these cases cut,” McCarthy explained.
“We keep talking about the four criminal cases,” he added. “There’s also three civil trials coming up between October and the end of, probably the end of March.”
“So, I think there will be a lot of pressure, especially from Trump supporters in the House, that if the Biden investigation is going anywhere, it ought to be a parallel investigation to what’s going on with Trump,” McCarthy concluded. “I think there’ll be a lot of pressure to say, you know, if Democrats are going to put Trump through these paces, that the Biden investigation’s gonna be ratcheted up. I think that’s just the way our politics works.”
