Ron DeSantis’ mere existence sets Democrats off.
But recently a Fox News star threw one nasty barb at the Florida Governor.
Now, DeSantis is getting the last laugh.
Fox News contributor Geraldo Rivera recently decided to join the hysterical leftists bandwagon and throw an absolute fit over DeSantis sending 50 illegal immigrants to the so-called “sanctuary” community of Martha’s Vineyard.
Of course, the elite leftist vacation spot managed to ditch their unexpected visitors within hours.
But rather than zero in on the hypocritical behavior of Democrats, Rivera decided to take a cheap shot at DeSantis.
“Governor DeSantis will soon feel the wrath of Florida’s Latino voters outraged by his toying with the lives of those Venezuelan refugees he exploited,” Rivera tweeted.
He couldn’t have been more wrong.
Polling data released only a day after Rivera let loose on DeSantis showed the governor trouncing his competition, Democrat Charlie Crist, with an 11-point lead.
And in a world where fat checks speak louder than anything else, DeSantis is dominating by raising 27 times more money than his opponent and sinking at least $10 million more into his ad spends.
After seeing Rivera’s completely off base claim on Twitter Darla Shine—former Trump White House Communications Director Bill Shine’s wife—couldn’t resist calling him out.
She tweeted back letting Rivera know she lives in Florida and has spoken to many Venezuelans who are 100% behind DeSantis because they’ve already escaped Communism and they sure don’t want it here.
“Not sure about that Geraldo, we have friends here who fled Venezuela who told us ‘Biden is ruining America and turning it into Venezuela.’ They love DeSantis,” Shine tweeted. “Do you want to interview them?”
That bit of a reality check had Rivera backpedaling fast.
“Hi Darla, you’re the Florida expert,” he wrote. “I’m just a cranky old man from Cleveland. Go Guardians.”
Democrats have spent the past decade pretending the only issue hispanic voters care about is giving illegal aliens amnesty.
But the truth is, leftists can’t see past their own racist perspective to recognize what both Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis have grasped: focusing on creating a better life for everyone is always to reach working class voters.
Instead, leftists are obsessed with their own racists and elitist policy goals designed to tear apart the nation.
