A group of avowed pro-Military RINOs just revolted against Mike Johnson over one promise to grassroots conservatives

House Speaker Mike Johnson faces an unexpected rebellion from moderate Republicans who are furiously opposing his promise to defund Planned Parenthood in the upcoming budget reconciliation bill.

The GOP establishment has pulled the wool over many Americans’ eyes for years.

The latest betrayal won’t go unnoticed.

Because a group of avowed pro-Military RINOs just revolted against Mike Johnson over one promise to grassroots conservatives.

All hell broke loose in a closed-door Republican meeting Tuesday when several caucus members blindsided House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) and Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-LA) with a jaw-dropping ultimatum.

These RINOs declared they will not support any reconciliation bill that cuts federal funding to the abortion giant Planned Parenthood.

This shocking rebellion threatens to torpedo a critical conservative priority to slash wasteful government spending and protect the unborn.

Reps. Mike Lawler (R-NY), Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA), and Jen Kiggans (R-VA) led this brazen mutiny against pro-life conservatives, leaving GOP leadership shell-shocked.

This is a group of self-avowed pro-military RINOs, and abortion has long been a dirty little secret in military communities, especially with Biden-era policies pushing more young women into combat.

It seems Congresswoman Kiggans would rather continue pushing young girls into war than motherhood.

Meanwhile, Rep. Lawler grandstands about terrorists being paid to “murder innocent people.”

Yet has no problem with Planned Parenthood being paid with Americans’ tax dollars.

When confronted by reporters after the explosive meeting, Johnson desperately tried to downplay the bombshell confrontation.

“That was not on our agenda,” Johnson told reporters, clearly trying to hide the growing civil war erupting within his caucus.

Other Republicans who witnessed the heated exchange refused to divulge details to the press.

Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ) hastily deflected questions, saying, “That was sort of a closed-door discussion, I’m not going to go into that now.”

The deafening silence from leadership speaks volumes about the catastrophic position Johnson now finds himself in.

Just last week, Johnson spoke at the annual gala of an anti-abortion group where he boldly promised the bill “is going to redirect funds away from ‘big abortion.'”

Now, with these establishment Republicans threatening to derail that, conservative voters must insist Johnson fight like his political life depends on keeping his word.

Rep. Fitzpatrick arrogantly dismissed the concerns of pro-life Americans when discussing the reconciliation package.

“I think there’s other policy areas that we need to focus on,” Fitzpatrick told NOTUS prior to the meeting, apparently believing saving unborn lives isn’t a priority.

Lawler shamelessly defended the abortion provider’s government funding.

“Obviously, Planned Parenthood does provide a lot of services outside of abortion-related services, and so, you know, I’d have to see what they’re proposing,” Lawler told reporters on Tuesday.

This devastating Republican civil war couldn’t come at a worse time for Johnson’s embattled leadership.

The GOP clings to a paper-thin majority in the House, with special elections looming in Arizona and Texas after the deaths of Democrat representatives.

Republican leadership is scrambling to identify $880 billion in desperately needed budget cuts, but each proposal exposes new treachery from establishment RINOs who refuse to stand for conservative principles.

Not all House moderates are joining this disgraceful rebellion against the pro-life cause.

Rep. Don Bacon (R-NE) stood firmly with conservative voters on the Planned Parenthood issue.

“A lot of people in my district don’t like money going to organizations that do abortion — taxpayer money. So, I just, so I won’t push back on that,” Bacon declared.

This current betrayal follows President Donald Trump’s courageous move in March when his administration slashed tens of millions in Title X funding from Planned Parenthood that had been earmarked for birth control, cancer screenings, and STI testing.

But the current legislative battle goes much further in the fight to protect innocent life – and now establishment Republicans are showing their true colors by siding with the radical abortion industry.

This confrontation rips the mask off the phony conservatives who campaign as Republicans but vote like Democrats when it matters most.

With such a fragile majority in the House, Johnson cannot afford to lose more than a handful of votes on any major legislation.

The question now becomes whether Johnson will stand strong for conservative principles by defunding Planned Parenthood, or if he’ll cave to these RINOs and betray the pro-life movement.

Either way, this catastrophic Republican rebellion has exposed the frauds within the party and put Johnson in an impossible position – honor his commitment to protect life or surrender to the establishment RINOs.
