Americans wanted to help but few would be prepared for what this man experienced when he touched down in the North Carolina mountains to aid hurricane Helene victims.

Hurricane Helene victims are being failed by the Biden-Harris government.

Many private individuals and organizations have stepped up to help.

And a hero pilot witnessed something in North Carolina that will leave every American red with rage.

Government wouldn’t let him help

North Carolina residents have grown frustrated with the lack of response from the Biden-Harris administration.

Jordan Seidhom decided he wanted to help those who are stranded.

He is a volunteer firefighter as well as a pilot who owns his own helicopter.

He saw a Facebook post about a family stranded in Banner Elk, North Carolina.

So he jumped into action and loaded up his helicopter.

“I thought, I have a helicopter, maybe I can help,” Seidhom said.

He obtained clearance from the local airport’s traffic control and communicated with law enforcement and first responders.

He successfully made four rescues.

Government officials shut down his efforts

During another rescue, he was confronted by a Lake Lure fire chief, who ordered him to stop his operation.

Seidhom explained that he had left his son and an individual they had rescued on the side of the mountain, and was just going to go back and pick them up.

The fire chief then threatened him with arrest.

“I’m going back and getting my copilot.” Seidhom said, ‘“If you turn around and go back up the mountain, you’re going to be arrested.’ I said, ‘Well, sir, I’m going back to get my copilot, I don’t know what to tell you.’” The fire chief then called over two officers and again threatened to arrest Seidhom.

“At that point, I had to make a decision. I have a victim, I have my son, and I politely asked the officers, told him the situation again, explained everything, told them who I’d been coordinating with, and I said, ‘Hey if I go back up and get this victim and bring him down to this landing spot that other emergency personnel have designated, am I going to be arrested?’ And the officers’ response was, ‘Man, I really don’t know what to do in this situation.'”

Seidhom went back for his son and the other individual, but he stopped making rescues after hearing that a temporary flight restriction had been put in place.

He headed back after the restriction was lifted on Monday and worked with the Carolina Emergency Response Team which had asked for people with private helicopters to assist with the rescue effort.

People were outraged that Seidhom was threatened with arrest simply for trying to help out hurricane victims.

One X user appealed to conservative former Presidential candidate and recently-announced Fox News host Vivek Ramaswamy for help drawing attention to the situation.

“Mr. Ramaswamy, can you please draw attention to Western NC? No water for 6 days. No FEMA. No National Guard. Bodies being recovered in receding waters & trees. Volunteer helicopter rescue pilot threatened with arrest while assisting elderly couple,” the woman wrote.

In situations like this, people need all the help they can get.

If the government isn’t going to help these hurricane victims, they can at least get out of the way of those that are willing to.
