The Secret Service became a laughingstock under Joe Biden.
DEI hiring nearly got people killed.
But a Kamala Harris Secret Service bodyguard kept one awful secret that just came to light.
The plus-size model protecting the Vice President
RealClearPolitics reporter Susan Crabtree just exposed a jaw-dropping scandal inside the Biden-era Secret Service.ยน
An overweight female agent assigned to protect Kamala Harris’ stepdaughter Ella Emhoff repeatedly failed every physical fitness test but stayed on the job anyway.ยฒ
And it gets worse.
The agent worked a side gig as a plus-size model while failing to meet the basic requirements of her job protecting the families of America’s leaders.ยณ
She called herself a "nationally published curve model, plus-size fashion and fitness influencer, and body-positive advocate" on social media.โด
The agent did magazine photo shoots labeled "Undercover, But Never Underdressed" where she traded on her federal law enforcement position.โต
After repeatedly failing physical fitness tests, the Secret Service moved her to the Special Services Division handling support functions like armored vehicle maintenance and mail screening.โถ
But during her time on protective detail, someone who couldn’t pass basic fitness requirements had responsibility for keeping the Vice President’s family alive in an emergency.
Think about that for a second.
An agent who can’t pass a fitness test is supposed to protect someone’s life in an emergency.

DEI became "mission imperative" under Biden
This isn’t just one bad agent slipping through the cracks.
The Secret Service’s former DEI Director Lucious Hires declared in 2023 that spreading DEI was "mission imperative" and the "ultimate goal" that needed to be incorporated into "every action, every day."โท
The agency promoted itself as setting the "gold standard" of DEI in recruitment materials and created a group of "Game Changers" who formed an "Inclusion Engagement Council" to drive DEI policies.โธ
Under disgraced Director Kimberly Cheatle, DEI became so normalized that physical standards stopped mattering.
Cheatle resigned in July 2024 after the assassination attempt on President Donald Trump exposed catastrophic security failures.โน
The damage she inflicted on the agency keeps poisoning operations today.
Agents who can actually do the job keep leaving in droves because they’re disgusted with what DEI has done to their profession.
The Secret Service lost 1,400 employees in just two years as experienced agents fled the agency.ยนโฐ
Those who remain face crushing overtime, dilapidated facilities, and an agency more worried about diversity quotas than protecting the President.
The consequences of prioritizing ideology over competence
Labor Day weekend 2025 brought another alarming security failure.
The Secret Service physically screened a man’s bag at Trump’s Virginia golf course but missed a Glock pistol and let him through.ยนยน
The club member discovered the mistake himself and self-reported it.
Nobody knows what disasters were avoided only because someone else caught the Secret Service’s mistakes.
After Charlie Kirk’s assassination in September 2025, a Secret Service agent blamed Kirk’s murder on "karma" in a Facebook post and got placed on administrative leave.ยนยฒ
The cultural rot runs so deep that agents celebrate the assassination of conservative leaders on social media.
President Trump offered recruitment bonuses of $40,000-$50,000 and retention bonuses up to 25% of salary trying to fix the staffing crisis.ยนยณ
But money can’t solve a problem caused by putting ideology ahead of protecting American leaders.
The Secret Service ranks 413th out of 459 government agencies in the Best Places to Work survey.ยนโด
Morale is at rock bottom because competent agents watch less qualified people get hired and promoted to meet diversity quotas.
One former agent who left in March 2025 said the agency treats experienced personnel like "just a breathing body to them."ยนโต
Ideology put lives at risk
Look, this plus-size modeling Secret Service agent is everything wrong with the DEI obsession in one package.
She couldn’t do the most basic requirement of her job but kept it anyway because the agency cared more about checking diversity boxes than protecting people’s lives.
And she felt comfortable enough moonlighting as a model trading on her federal law enforcement position while failing fitness tests.
The message? Your qualifications don’t matter, the ideology does.
Ella Emhoff and others had to be put in danger so an unqualified agent could have a job. That’s the trade-off Biden’s DEI regime demanded.
Trump Administration officials are working to purge DEI from the federal government.
But fixing the Secret Service will take years after the damage Kimberly Cheatle and Joe Biden inflicted on the agency.
The culture of putting ideology ahead of competence runs deep.
And until that changes, America’s leaders and their families remain at risk from the very people sworn to protect them.
