Far-left activists create hit list of ICE agents
The Trump administration has delivered on its promise to secure America’s borders with unprecedented ICE raids across the country.
As President Donald Trump carries out the largest mass deportation operation in U.S. history, the radical Left has responded with violence and intimidation.
Now they’ve escalated their tactics to a dangerous new level.
A far-left group called The Crustian Daily has created what amounts to a hit list of Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.
They’re calling it the "ICE List" and asking the public to help them identify officers and their "collaborators."
According to their website, the group is "building a public database of known Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents and collaborators" and asking people to report anyone they’ve seen "working with ICE."
The activists claim their database promotes "truth and transparency," but their real agenda is intimidation.
They want to intimidate and threaten the brave men and women who are enforcing America’s immigration laws.
A spokesperson for The Crustian Daily told Newsweek, "The ICE List exists because we believe the people carrying out violent state policy should not be protected by anonymity."
This is nothing short of a doxxing operation designed to endanger federal law enforcement officers and their families.
Department of Homeland Security fires back at "thugs"
The Department of Homeland Security didn’t mince words when responding to this dangerous database.
Tricia McLaughlin, Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs for DHS, called the activists behind the database "thugs."
"We will prosecute those who dox ICE agents to the fullest extent of the law," McLaughlin told Newsweek. "These criminals are taking the side of vicious cartels and human traffickers. We won’t allow it in America."
McLaughlin hit the nail on the head.
These far-left activists are literally helping human traffickers and drug cartels by targeting the agents trying to stop them.
The timing couldn’t be more telling.
This database represents an escalation as ICE agents already face unprecedented danger.
The Department of Homeland Security reports that assaults on immigration officers have surged by 413 percent under the current administration.
That’s why many ICE agents have started wearing masks during arrests – to protect their identities and their families from exactly this kind of targeting.
The Left shows their true colors once again
This isn’t the first time anti-ICE activists have tried to expose and intimidate federal agents.
Earlier this year, anti-ICE activists in Los Angeles distributed flyers containing personal information about ICE and Homeland Security Investigations officers, according to Fox News reports.
The pattern is clear.
The radical Left can’t win the debate on immigration policy, so they’re resorting to intimidation and threats.
They know the American people support Trump’s immigration enforcement.
A poll from AP-NORC, conducted from January 9 to 13 among 1,147 adults, found that 83 percent of Americans support deporting migrants living in the U.S. illegally who have been convicted of a violent crime.
A poll from the New York Times conducted from January 2 to 10 among 2,128 adults, found that 63 percent of Americans support deporting undocumented migrants who entered the U.S. in the past four years.
So instead of accepting the will of the people, leftists are trying to terrorize ICE agents into backing down.
ICE agents deserve protection, not persecution
The brave men and women of ICE put their lives on the line every day to protect America from dangerous criminals.
They’re going after gang members, drug dealers, human traffickers, and other violent criminals who have no right to be in this country.
These agents deserve our support and protection, not to be targeted by radical activists who want to help criminals escape justice.
Andrew Fels, an attorney at Al Otro Lado, admitted to Newsweek that this kind of targeting is usually seen "in conflict zones around the globe, particularly against security forces."
That’s exactly what this is – the radical Left treating America like a war zone where they can target federal law enforcement officers.
President Trump has authorized the National Guard to respond to anti-ICE violence, warning of "troops everywhere" if the clashes continue.
The President is right to take a strong stand.
America will not be held hostage by radical activists who side with cartels and human traffickers over the safety of American citizens.
The ICE agents who are carrying out these crucial deportation operations are heroes, not villains.
They’re making our communities safer by removing dangerous criminals who have been living here illegally.
The Left’s campaign to intimidate and threaten these officers shows just how far they’re willing to go to undermine America’s sovereignty and security.
