A Republican insider left a CNN panel stammering after he exposed this brutal truth

Republican strategist Scott Jennings silenced CNN's liberal panelists with shocking statistics revealing  the true level of Trump's success after just 100 days in office.

The mainstream media’s narrative just crashed and burned.

A Republican strategist dropped a bombshell that CNN never saw coming.

And a Republican insider just left a CNN panel stammering after he exposed this brutal truth.

White House releases jaw-dropping border statistics

The Biden-Harris administration claimed for years that the border was secure despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. Now, just 100 days into President Trump’s second term, newly released statistics are exposing just how catastrophic their border policies truly were.

A White House fact sheet released Monday revealed that border crossings, migrant encounters, and “gotaways” are all down by a staggering 93% or more since President Trump took office in January. This remarkable turnaround happened without any new legislation from Congress—just decisive executive action and a complete reversal of the previous administration’s approach.

Republican strategist Scott Jennings highlighted this stunning achievement during an appearance on CNN Monday night, telling host Laura Coates that immigration remains Trump’s strongest issue despite CNN’s own poll showing him underwater on the topic.

“I actually think it’s still their best issue, and I think when it all shakes out, what are they going to be able to say? Donald Trump effectively closed the southern border just by taking office and changing the attitude of the federal government,” Jennings explained.

CNN’s poll contradicted by real-world results

The CNN poll released Sunday showed President Trump with a 54% disapproval rating on immigration. However, this polling appears increasingly disconnected from reality as Trump’s border policies deliver immediate and measurable results that Americans can see with their own eyes.

Other polls tell a different story, with a CBS survey showing Trump with a 49% approval rating on immigration and a RealClearPolling average of 47.8% approval—numbers likely to rise as word of the border transformation spreads.

Jennings didn’t hold back in pointing out the disconnect between CNN’s polling and the administration’s accomplishments.

“They have deported lots of violent criminals, and frankly, they are sending a different message than the previous administration,” Jennings continued. “The old way was, ‘Hey, just get here and we’ll find a way and it will probably work out for you.’ The new message is, ‘Don’t come here. Please don’t come here.’ And now people know that we mean it.”

Biden’s border disaster finally being addressed

During the Biden years, Border Patrol agents encountered millions of illegal immigrants, according to figures from U.S. Customs and Border Protection. The sheer volume overwhelmed processing facilities and border communities, while allowing dangerous criminals to slip into American neighborhoods undetected.

President Trump wasted no time addressing this crisis upon taking office on January 20. He immediately issued a series of executive orders targeting illegal immigration, including designating Mexican drug cartels as Foreign Terrorist Organizations—a move the Biden administration had repeatedly refused to make despite bipartisan pressure.

Trump also designated the Venezuelan prison gang Tren de Aragua (TdA) and the El Salvadoran prison gang MS-13 as terrorist organizations, giving law enforcement powerful new tools to combat these violent groups.

On March 15, the president invoked the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 to accelerate the deportation of members of TdA and MS-13, putting criminals on notice that America’s days as a sanctuary for violent offenders were over.

Biggest cleanup operation in Washington

Jennings described the border situation Trump inherited as “the biggest mess of all” facing the new administration.

“When it all shakes out, I think we’re going to find that Donald Trump inherited — the biggest mess of all was on immigration,” Jennings stated. “He had the biggest cleanup job to do on it, and he ultimately did what he had to do to bring order to it.”

The Republican strategist emphasized that the dramatic turnaround vindicates Trump’s longstanding position on border security, which has been central to his political identity since he first announced his candidacy in 2015.

“I still think it’s their best issue. I still think they’re going to lean into it. And obviously, it’s the issue that motivated his campaign way back in 2015, in the first place, and he stuck with it all the way through. I still think it’s their number one issue,” Jennings concluded.

Promises made, promises kept

During the 2024 campaign, Trump pledged to end the border crisis immediately upon taking office. Unlike typical political promises that fade after Election Day, Trump has delivered exactly what he said he would—and faster than many expected.

The 93% reduction in illegal border crossings represents one of the most dramatic policy reversals in modern American history. While the Biden administration spent years insisting that comprehensive legislation was needed to address immigration challenges, Trump has demonstrated that much of the crisis was driven by policy choices that could be quickly reversed through executive action.

For border communities that had been overwhelmed by the migrant surge under Biden, the relief has been immediate and substantial. Resources that had been stretched to the breaking point can now be redirected to address other community needs.

Law enforcement agencies nationwide have reported increased cooperation from federal immigration authorities in identifying and removing dangerous criminals who had previously been released under more permissive policies.

With these impressive early results, Trump is cementing immigration enforcement as the signature achievement of his presidency’s first 100 days—and leaving former Biden officials scrambling to defend their failed approach to border security.

As the dramatic turnaround continues, Americans across the political spectrum are seeing firsthand what strong border enforcement looks like—and the unmistakable contrast with the chaos of the previous four years.
