Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) is feeling the full pressure of the Democrat Party’s internal civil war.
Establishment Democrats are no longer pulling their punches on the Pennsylvania Senator.
And a top Democrat just turned his post-election rage on John Fetterman with this one nasty attack.
James Carville blasts John Fetterman for sitting down with Donald Trump
John Fetterman quickly stole the news cycle when he announced that he planned to sit down and meet with Donald Trump once he won the election.
Prior to the meeting, he mentioned that he was interested in hearing Donald Trump’s plan for the United States to acquire Greenland – a move that would greatly protect American national security and economic interests.
But this was not the only defection Fetterman has made from his own party ranks.
The Pennsylvania Democrat had signed onto the Laken Riley Act as well, indicating that he wanted to appear tougher on illegal immigration.
Fetterman had also opened his office’s doors to Trump nominees Tulsi Gabbard and Pete Hegseth while refusing to commit to voting against them.
The infamous Democrat strategist James Carville lost all sense of sanity over Fetterman, as a result.
On a recent episode of his Politics War Room podcast, Carville did not pull a single punch when he railed Fetterman relentlessly.
He began by reminding listeners of the time that Fetterman told Carville to “shut the f*** up” in December of 2023 after Carville demanded that Joe Biden drop out of the race for President.
Carville argued that he gave Fetterman a free pass over it, but he now is arguing that he believes Fetterman is struggling with cognitive problems as a result of his nearly fatal stroke that hit the Pennsylvania Senator in May of 2022.
“[Fetterman] told me to shut the f*** up. And at the time, I took mild offense at it,” began Carville. “I no longer take offense.”
“I honestly think the guy’s had a major health issue in his life and I think he just wants to get his name in the paper,” he added.
Carville went on to accuse Fetterman of becoming a political chameleon, noting that he was a “Bernie bro” when he first ran for Senate but is now taking more moderate positions in the Senate following Trump’s Election Day sweep.
“And you know, he was the most progressive person. He was a Bernie bro, then he was this and now he wants to meet with Trump,” continued Carville. “And he’s fighting with me, fights with the governor.”
“No idea what his current state of his health is, but I think he’s like, ‘I’m just going to do everything I can to get as much publicity I can and run this thing as hard as I can until my term’s up in 2026,’” he ranted. “That’s what I think.”
Carville continued his tantrum by calling Fetterman nothing more than an attention-starved person.
“I think the guy’s like – he’s just desperate to get attention,” concluded the Democrat host.
Al Hunt, who co-hosts the podcast with Carville, predicted that Fetterman was playing a game of political chess.
He argued that perhaps Fetterman is trying to vote in favor of Republican bills that he knows would pass without his vote in order to manufacture a more bi-partisan record without actually doing damage to his own party.
“It’ll be very few times where his vote is decisive,” Hunt argued. “But what he does is he’ll give the Republicans a patina of bipartisanship on some things, and he’ll just be a – he’ll be a nuisance.”
“If he gets his name in the paper or gets on the news of whatever – that’s, I think, that’s his short, immediate and long-term goal,” Carville responded.
