The Left and the media are trying to portray Kamala Harris as the female Obama.
But not every Democrat is on board.
And a top Democrat plunged a dagger into Kamala Harris’ campaign and now he is twisting it with one shocking statement.
Another Kamala endorsement fail
Kamala Harris has failed to secure several endorsements she thought she had in the bag.
The Teamsters union declined to endorse her after a poll of its membership showed over 60% will be voting for Donald Trump.
Moderate Democrat Senators Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema refused to endorse Harris after she said she would support using the nuclear option to eliminate the Senate filibuster rule in order to pass legislation to codify Roe v. Wade.
Harris did receive the endorsement of the IRS employees union, which is unlikely to earn her much support among American taxpayers.
Jon Tester, a Democrat Senator from Montana, had previously declined to endorse her and has since doubled down on that position.
When it comes to Presidential elections, Montana has long been a reliably Red State.
Donald Trump won the state by 16 points in 2020 and by 20 points in 2016.
Montana is clearly Trump country.
But the northwestern rural state has also elected several Democrats to statewide office and Democrat Jon Tester has held his U.S. Senate seat since he was first elected in 2006.
Tester now is running for reelection in a year when Trump will also be on the ballot and he is looking to distance himself from Kamala Harris.
“Unfortunately, my opponent would rather talk about a national race that will be decided by the people of Montana. Whoever gets elected to the U.S. president, I can guarantee you one thing, just like all previous ones, I’ll work with them when they’re doing good things for Montana, and I’ll hold them accountable when they’re not,” Tester told MTN News in an interview.
Tester’s history of supporting Harris
Tester’s Republican opponent, Tim Sheehy, is refusing to let Tester run from his connection to Harris.
“Jon Tester votes with Kamala Harris 95% of the time. His voting record is his endorsement of the failed Harris agenda, and every time Montanans needed him to stop the insanity in Washington, he was the deciding vote to further her progressive liberal agenda,” a spokesperson for Sheehy for Montana said in a statement to Fox News Digital.
Tester endorsed Harris for Vice President in 2020.
He also encouraged her to run for Senate in 2015 while serving as Chair of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.
A poll conducted by AARP shows Sheehy with an eight-point lead over Tester.
With his political career on the line, Tester is desperate to distance himself from Harris and the radical Left.
With Trump almost certain to win Montana, Tester’s only hope is to get some Trump voters to split their ticket and vote for him.
It seems Tester is willing to throw his fellow Democrat under the bus in a desperate move to hold onto his seat.
