Joe Biden’s Presidency has been one disaster after another for the country.
But one recent failure has many Americans fuming.
And Marco Rubio made one recommendation to Joe Biden that sent Pete Buttigieg off the rails.
The residents of East Palestine, Ohio are still suffering after a trail derailed and sent toxic chemicals into the air and water supply after government officials released them to prevent an explosion.
The Biden administration mostly ignored the tragedy, as Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg waited ten days before even commenting on the situation.
Instead of focusing on East Palestine, Buttigieg spent his time complaining about the race of construction workers in America.
After Donald Trump showed up with water, food, and cleaning supplies for the residents of East Palestine, Buttigieg finally visited the area on Thursday.
But Senator Marco Rubio believes Buttigieg dropped the ball and deserves to face the consequences.
In a letter, Rubio told the President that “Secretary Buttigieg downplayed and ignored crisis after crisis” to focus on “topics of little relevance to our nation’s transportation system.”
“At no time has that been more apparent than the past two weeks,” Rubio said. “Secretary Buttigieg refused to acknowledge the disaster in East Palestine, Ohio, until his intentional ignorance was no longer tenable.”
Buttigieg tried to cover for his failures by claiming that officials from the Transportation Department arrived on the scene immediately following the disaster.
However, residents were still furious about the lack of response from Buttigieg.
“Even after acknowledging the tragedy, he continues to deflect any accountability for the safety of our nation’s rail system,” Rubio continued. “The circumstances leading up to the derailment point to a clear lack of oversight and demand engagement by our nation’s top transportation official.”
Of course, the truth is that Buttigieg is only concerned with using his position as Transportation Secretary to build a national profile for his next Presidential run.
Instead of addressing the many problems in our nation, Buttigieg is pushing electric vehicles and discussing woke issues like the race of construction workers.
Rubio pointed out that the East Palestine tragedy is “part of a two-year long pattern.”
“During historic maritime and surface transportation disruptions in 2021, Secretary Buttigieg was completely absent,” Rubio said. “Amidst an impending possible rail strike last year, Secretary Buttigieg left the country to vacation in Portuguese wine country.”
During the midst of the pandemic, Buttigieg also presided over a major supply chain crisis that crippled the economy.
Buttigieg has also skipped out on several important meetings in order to take paternity leave and go on vacation.
As Rubio noted, air travel was halted under Buttigieg for the first time since 9/11.
Pete Buttigieg is on his way to becoming the worst Transportation Secretary in American history.
And Joe Biden does not seem to care.
