The Democrat base is falling apart under Joe Biden’s leadership.
With traditionally reliable Democrat voting blocs like Hispanic and black voters reportedly jumping ship, he thought establishment Democrats were the least of his worries.
But top Democrats are already bailing on Joe Biden’s sinking re-election campaign – and they’re now telling the world why.
Last weekend, The New York Times ran one of the most astonishing reports in recent memory.
In it, The Times highlighted a laundry list of complaints prominent Democrats have with President Joe Biden, and are now sharing publicly for the world to hear.
“To say our country was on the right track would flagrantly depart from reality,” Democrat National Committee member Steve Simeonidis told the so-called “paper of record,” before adding that the President “should announce his intent not to seek re-election in ’24 right after the midterms.”
Simeonidis wasn’t alone either, as former President Barack Obama’s chief strategist, David Axelrod, also took aim at Biden, admitting that Biden’s advanced age is a “major issue.”
“The Presidency is a monstrously taxing job and the stark reality is the President would be closer to 90 than 80 at the end of a second term, and that would be a major issue,” Axelrod explained.
But while Biden’s actual age is an issue, Axelrod also admitted that it’s a far bigger issue for his poll numbers – and Democrats’ prospects – that Biden looks and acts every bit like a geriatric.
According to Axelrod, Biden would be getting far more credit for all the supposedly wonderful things he’s done for the nation if he didn’t look so bad on camera.
“Biden doesn’t get the credit he deserves for steering the country through the worst of the pandemic, passing historic legislation, pulling the NATO alliance together against Russian aggression, and restoring decency and decorum to the White House,” Axelrod explained. “And part of the reason he doesn’t is performative. He looks his age and isn’t as agile in front of a camera as he once was, and this has fed a narrative about competence that isn’t rooted in reality.”
Of course, while the fact that top Democrats like David Axelrod are now just outright admitting on the record everything non-brainwashed Biden voters have known since he took office is indicative of the collapse of the Biden Presidency, it also underscores a much bigger issue for Democrats.
Without a Joe Biden re-election campaign, who do Democrats have that could possibly come close to actually defeating one of the strong Republicans the GOP has on their bench, especially in this climate?
The answer to that question is clear – no one.
Sure, there are plenty of Democrats who the radical Left and corporate-controlled media want to pretend could compete with a Donald Trump or Ron DeSantis campaign – like Hillary Clinton, Pete Buttigieg, Bernie Sanders (another 80-year-old), and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).
But how do any of those candidates make a claim for the Party’s mantle when they would have to take it away from Vice President Kamala Harris, and explain to the Left’s radical woke base why they deserve the nomination more than the first female black Vice President in the nation’s history?
So needless to say, things aren’t going great for those on the Left side of the political spectrum.
Fortunately for them, they’ll only have to worry about debates over whether Joe Biden is fit for office for about another two years.
