Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is everything the Left hates, and with that comes constant attacks by the Democrat-controlled media.
DeSantis, however, never appears shaken by the attacks, and oftentimes he ignores them.
When a Washington Post reporter tried to smear Ron DeSantis, the Governor once again prevailed.
The Left-wing media has tried to take down DeSantis at every turn.
There is nothing DeSantis does that the media doesn’t try to turn into a scandal.
There were reports that he was altering the state’s data on deaths caused by the coronavirus.
60 Minutes tried to smear the governor with false claims in a long hit piece.
When that didn’t work, DeSantis got falsely accused of causing a fatal car crash at a homosexual pride event.
But, DeSantis continues to soldier forward, not evening giving the liberal media a second glance.
The most recent attack on Governor DeSantis has to do with the tragic condo collapse in Miami.
Hannah Dreier, a reporter for The Washington Post, falsely claimed that DeSantis sat on declaring a state of emergency following the collapse of the condo building.
In a tweet, Dreier stated, “There’s a saying in emergency management: The first 24 hours are the only 24 hours. FEMA was ready to deploy to the condo collapse almost immediately, and included the crisis in its daily briefing, but didn’t get permission from Gov. DeSantis to get on the ground for a full day.”
Once again, a Lefty reporter “forgot” to do their homework or conveniently neglected the facts.
But in the age of instant information and people willing to call each other out on social media, it didn’t take long for Dreier to receive a smackdown and a lesson in proper government protocol.
According to the law, a local official, in this case, the Mayor of Miami, needs to declare a state of emergency first, which would then allow the Governor to sign a state of emergency declaration.
As Jeremy Redfern tweeted, “Time to kill another conspiracy theory.”
In his tweet, Redfern plainly laid out how the process worked and pointed out for the unobservant Dreier that the mayor didn’t sign an emergency order until 4:33 pm ET, and DeSantis turned around and signed one less than an hour later.
Sorry to the liberals hoping to take down DeSantis again, but this wasn’t his fault. His hands were tied.
To top it off, Biden didn’t declare a state of emergency for a full 24-hours.
It was Biden that took his sweet time, not Ron DeSantis.
But, Hannah Dreier, like so many other liberal reporters, isn’t looking to report facts, she’s looking to take down republicans.
DeSantis is a very strong candidate for the Republican presidential nomination in 2024, so there is no doubt the Democrat-controlled media will do everything in their power to smear him.
