The walls came crashing down around Tim Walz.
His political career ended in disgrace and humiliation.
And Adam Carolla gave Tim Walz one farewell message that left his family furious.
Viral video destroyed Tim Walz's career
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz shocked political observers Monday by announcing he won't seek a third term as governor.
The decision came after YouTube journalist Nick Shirley released a viral video the day after Christmas showing empty Somali-run daycare centers collecting millions in federal funds.
That video racked up more than 116 million views on X and sparked a federal investigation that exposed the worst-kept secret in Minnesota — a multi-billion dollar fraud scheme that happened on Walz's watch.
Federal prosecutors estimate criminals stole at least $9 billion through 14 different Medicaid programs Minnesota runs.
First Assistant U.S. Attorney Joe Thompson called it "staggering, industrial-scale fraud" during a December press conference.
Ninety-two people face federal charges so far, with 62 already convicted.
Most defendants are Somali-American, leading to explosive political fallout that Walz couldn't escape.
The House Oversight Committee launched an investigation and summoned Walz to testify February 10 about his administration's handling of the crisis.
State lawmakers testified that Walz and his Attorney General Keith Ellison ignored whistleblower warnings for years and actually retaliated against employees who tried to expose the fraud.
Minnesota State Representative Kristin Robbins told Congress that Walz's administration "systematically retaliated against whistleblowers" and "have willfully turned a blind eye to crime."
Walz claimed in his exit statement that he couldn't give a political campaign his full attention while defending Minnesota from "criminals who prey on our generosity."
But everyone knows the real reason — the fraud scandal destroyed any chance he had at winning reelection.
Adam Carolla delivered the send-off Walz deserved
Podcast king Adam Carolla didn't let Walz slink away quietly.
During Monday's episode of The Adam Carolla Show, Carolla torched Walz and his entire family.
"He's a douche and he's a dope. And his wife is worse than him," Carolla said. "And his daughter seems worse than both of them. So f**k off. Hit the f**king bricks, you idiot."
Carolla predicted the fraud investigations will haunt Walz forever.
"It's just gonna get worse for him. And yes, he's doing this and good, good riddance," Carolla added.
The comedian couldn't believe Americans almost elected this guy Vice President.
"It's sad. I mean, this guy was almost vice president in the United States, which is crazy," Carolla stated. "He's a douche. He's gone."
Remember — Kamala Harris tapped Walz as her running mate in August 2024 while federal prosecutors were already charging dozens of people in the "largest pandemic fraud in the United States."
Voters knew something was rotten in Minnesota.
The fraud scandal played a huge role in that rejection, and Carolla's assessment captured what millions of Minnesotans already knew.
Trump's victory unleashed the truth about Walz
Without Trump's election victory, none of this would have come to light.
If Elon Musk hadn't bought Twitter, Nick Shirley's video never goes viral.
If Harris won, federal prosecutors keep quiet about the $9 billion in missing taxpayer funds.
Walz would be Vice President today, one heartbeat from the Presidency.
Instead, Trump's administration is dismantling the corrupt system that allowed this fraud to flourish.
The Department of Homeland Security froze $185 million in federal childcare payments to Minnesota until the state implements better verification systems.
House Republicans are investigating whether some of the stolen money ended up funding al-Shabaab terrorists in Somalia.
Treasury Department officials are examining whether Minnesota's public assistance programs inadvertently funded terrorism.
Carolla's brutal send-off perfectly captured the anger everyday Americans feel watching corrupt politicians get away with enabling fraud for years.
Walz's career is finished.
His legacy is billions in taxpayer dollars stolen from programs meant to feed hungry children and help disabled Americans.
And Adam Carolla made sure everyone remembers exactly what kind of "public servant" Tim Walz really was — a douche who looked the other way while criminals looted Minnesota's treasury.
