Democrat Congressman Adam Schiff was one of the most obnoxious voices promoting the totally false Russia collusion hoax.
Special counsel John Durham recently released his final report on the origins of the now thoroughly disgraced Trump-Russia collusion operation.
Now Schiff’s chickens are coming home to roost and he could be facing the one scandal that could get him kicked out of congress once and for all.
And Durham’s investigation and the damning findings within the report pointed fingers at the Obama administration, the Hillary Clinton campaign, the FBI, and the Democrat Party.
According to the Durham report, one of the chief villains of the entire episode was California Democrat Congressman Adam Schiff.
Schiff used his perch as the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee to spread the Big Lie that the Trump campaign had colluded with the Russian government.
“I don’t want to go into specifics, but I will say that there is evidence that is not circumstantial. But as I’ve said all along, there’s plenty of evidence of collusion,” Schiff said during a 2017 appearance on Meet The Press.
“I can certainly say with confidence that there is significant evidence of collusion between the campaign and Russia,” Schiff declared in March 2018.
These were bold and damning statements from Schiff, just one problem – these were all lies.
As Durham said in his explosive report, there was no basis for the FBI to investigate the Trump campaign and that the FBI knew that Hillary Clinton approved a plan to smear Trump as being in league with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
It is also clear now that Schiff knew all of this at the time he was stating there was clear evidence against Trump.
This is unacceptable behavior from a sitting U.S. Congressman, especially one who wants to be a U.S. Senator.
So, in response to the Durham report, Florida Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna has introduced a resolution to expel Schiff from Congress.
“Resolved, That, pursuant to Article I, Section 5, Clause 2 of the Constitution of the United States, Representative Adam Schiff, be, and he hereby is, expelled from the House of Representatives,” Luna’s expulsion resolution for Schiff reads.
Luna made statements pointing out that Schiff exploited his position to lie to the American people and assisted in an attempt to overturn the results of the free and fair 2016 Presidential election.
“Schiff lied to the American people. He used his position on House Intel to push a lie that cost American taxpayers millions of dollars. He is a dishonor to the House of Representatives,” Luna stated.
“Knowingly using your position on House Intel to push a lie that ripped apart our country, cost taxpayers millions of dollars, and authorized spying on a US President and then proceeding to double down on the lie within days of the Durham report coming out makes you unfit for office. Ethics should investigate,” Luna added.
The Russia collusion hoax was in fact nothing short of an attempted coup to overthrow the duly elected government of the United States.
It was all based on a lie, and it continued to be pushed even after everyone knew it was a lie.
Adam Schiff was front and center in this shameful scam.
Now at least one Republican wants to hold him accountable.
It is time the GOP stood up, got a spine, and started holding the left accountable for their actual insurrection.
