Adam Schiff was at the center of every Democrat witch hunt against Donald Trump over the last six years.
But Schiff may be moving toward a new goal.
And Adam Schiff is looking at leaving the U.S. House to pursue a more powerful position in the Swamp.
Most commentators and analysts expect California Democrat Senator Dianne Feinstein to retire at the end of her current term.
At age 89, Feinstein is already in clear decline and allegedly suffers from cognitive impairment.
Since whoever replaces Feinstein is virtually guaranteed a Senate seat for life, if she retires it will set off a free for all where every ambitious Democrat throws their hat in the ring.
Adam Schiff is one of the Democrats eyeing Feinstein’s seat.
In an appearance on KTTA’s The Issue Is, anchor Elex Michaelson asked Schiff if he planned to run for Senate if Feinstein retired.
“It is widely expected that California Senator Dianne Feinstein, who is 89, will retire at the end of her term. You have expressed interest in that job. Is there any reason you would not run for Senate?” Michaelson asked.
Schiff told Michaelson that Democrats have already started to encourage him to run should Feinstein decide to retire at the end of this term.
“Well, I’m not usually asked the question in that form. You know, look, I am getting a lot of encouragement to run for the Senate from people in California and colleagues here in Congress. If Senator Feinstein retires, then I will give it very serious consideration. You know, at this point, I think we’re waiting to see what Senator Feinstein has to say about her plans, but yes, it is something I’m giving serious consideration to,” Schiff responded.
During the Russian collusion hoax and the Ukraine impeachment sham, many believe Schiff took the lead in order to build his name base and reputation with the Party’s national base.
However, most thought he was building his name recognition in order to make a bid for Democrat Leader in the House once Nancy Pelosi stepped aside.
But Schiff was not interested in becoming House Leader.
It looks like Schiff is planning to leave the House and make a bid for Senate in 2024.
