Democrats are desperate to eliminate their Trump problem with one of their many attempts to stop the former President.
But their chickens may finally be coming home to roost.
Loudermilk is considering a big move against former Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s “bipartisan” band of anti-Trumpers on Democrats’ January 6 Committee.
Committee on House Administration Chairman Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-GA) is leading the Congressional investigation and oversight of Democrats’ January 6 Committee.
In the course of Loudermilk’s investigation, he reports he’s made a rather monumental discovery about the now-disbanded committee which former Speaker Nancy Pelosi stacking with anti-Trump members like Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger, and Adam Schiff.
He says members of the January 6 Committee suppressed, and potentially destroyed, evidence that contradicted their narrative that former President Donald Trump led an organized and sophisticated “insurrection” against the U.S. government.
You see, after the events of January 6, Trump repeatedly claimed that he had requested up to 10,000 National Guardsmen be present at the Capitol that day, but was rebuffed by Pelosi – who as the then-House Speaker had total control over Capitol security.
Pelosi, as well as others like Rep. Liz Cheney repeatedly claimed that the January 6 Committee’s investigation didn’t uncover a shred of evidence to back up Trump’s defense.
But according to Rep. Loudermilk, that was never true, as he revealed a transcript of the sworn testimony former Deputy White House Chief-of-Staff Anthony Ornato gave directly to the Committee – with Cheney in attendance and participating in the hearing – in which he fully backed up Trump’s claim of requesting National Guard support prior to January 6.
Loudermilk made clear that based on the discovery, the Committee would be looking to move forward with criminal referrals for members of the January 6 Committee.
“As far as holding people accountable, yes, they should be,” Loudermilk told Just the News. “But I think that’s going to be a little ways down the road, because there is so much more information that we need to get. And we need to build not only this, to get the truth out to the American people, but see just how big this case potentially is for obstructing.”
The primary reason that accountability will be “down the road,” though, is the fact that the Democrats who controlled the January 6 Committee are doing everything they can to withhold information from the investigation.
In fact, Rep. Loudermilk said that when he asked January 6 Committee Chairman Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS) for passwords to encrypted documents, the Democrat claimed he didn’t know what he was talking about.
“There’s still documents that we need to get hold off. We still don’t have passwords for the encrypted documents,” Loudermilk added. “It’s amazing that you know, when I asked the former Chairman Bennie Thompson, ‘all I want you to do is give me the passwords.’ He said, ‘I don’t even know what you’re talking about.’”
The Georgia Republican went on to tell Just The News that a reason Thompson may not have actually known what he was talking about is that it was actually Rep. Cheney who was calling the shots on the January 6 Committee.
Liz Cheney in major legal jeopardy
“Well, I think it’s coming down to [Thompson] probably didn’t [know], because now new information we’re getting is that Liz Cheney ran that Committee,” Loudermlk stated.
Rep. Loudermilk went on to say that his Committee has options available to hold the January 6 Committee members accountable for their actions, but that with some still being active Members of Congress, they may have to take different routes.
“Those are options. We also have to look at what other options are there. There’s also censure-ship, ethics, obviously, but also consider there are members of that Select Committee who are no longer members of Congress. So they may fall under a different scenario,” Loudermilk explained.
“So we do have the tools of members of Congress, but also, active members of Congress have certain protections,” he added. “So we’ll have to work on that. Because as you talked about earlier, we’re in uncharted territory right now. And so we’re going to have to work through this.”
The corruption was going to catch up to the ruling class elites at some point.
And it seems that time may finally be here.
