Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has only been in office for four years.
But she’s already a left-wing star in the Democrat Party.
And now, she’s getting a new role on the House Oversight Committee.
House Oversight Republicans are in for a busy session of Congress.
The Oversight Committee will lead the GOP investigations into the weaponization of the Justice Department and the FBI, the origins of COVID, and Joe Biden’s refusal to enforce immigration laws at the border.
But Democrats believe they found a way to hold up Republican investigations by naming Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as the vice ranking member of the Oversight Committee.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is set to step into a larger role on the House Oversight Committee this Congress, perhaps even its No. 2 Democratic spot.
An elevation to the vice ranking member position, while it’s not yet final, would give the well-known third-term progressive Democrat a high-profile perch to tangle with Republicans on a laundry list of controversial investigations they’re planning — on topics ranging from Hunter Biden’s business dealings to the southern border to GOP efforts to probe the “origins” of the coronavirus.
The move is not finalized yet.
However, Ocasio-Cortez is already excited about attacking Republicans on the Committee.
“There’s been conversations, but nothing’s been finalized,” Ocasio-Cortez began.
“I think I’m going to have a lot of fun on this committee,” Ocasio-Cortez added. “Of course, [Republicans are] going to be calling hearings on horrible things, but our job is to protect the people and protect the vulnerable communities that they seek to attack … it gives us an opportunity and a platform to de-legitimize a lot of the disinformation that they’ve been advancing.”
Maryland Democrat Jamie Raskin, also a ranking member of the Committee, is excited about the opportunity to work alongside Ocasio-Cortez.
“I have the greatest admiration for her skill, and I’m sure we’re going to be able to deploy her to maximum effect on the committee, along with all these other amazing new members,” Raskin stated.
Apparently this is the way Democrats are planning to deal with GOP investigations during this Congress.
They’re planning to offer up a clown show instead of mounting a serious defense against the Republicans, which will allow the left-wing media to claim the hearings are nothing more than a circus and the public should not take them seriously.
