Manhattan Democrat District Attorney Alvin Bragg has been lauded by the Left since he revived a long-dead left-wing witch hunt to indict Donald Trump on 34 felonies.
But those cheers are quickly fading.
And now Alvin Bragg is in hot water after Joe Biden received this disastrous news about the Trump indictment.
Manhattan Democrat District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s indictment of former President Donald Trump on 34 felonies related to alleged hush money payments he supposedly made to porn star Stormy Daniels was supposed to be Democrats’ chance to finally put Trump in prison.
In their minds, with Bragg wiping Trump off the board in the 2024 Presidential race, they could focus the entire Democrat political machine on destroying Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, allowing them their only real chance to get President Joe Biden through another grueling election cycle.
However, as more and more facts come to light, the George Soros-funded District Attorney’s indictment is beginning to collapse under the weight of questions surrounding its legitimacy.
In fact, according to a poll conducted by CNN, over 75% of American voters believe that Bragg’s indictment of the former President was politically motivated.
But even worse for Democrats is the impact the indictment is having on the 2024 Presidential race.
As Breitbart’s John Nolte pointed out in a recent column, since Bragg’s indictment, the Real Clear Politics polling average on the 2024 Presidential election shows Trump holding a 1.7-point lead over President Biden in a hypothetical rematch of the 2020 race.
Astonishingly, despite facing 34 felonies, the former President is somehow now leading the race for the White House, something Nolte noted he failed to do at any point in 2020.
“In 2020, Biden (allegedly) beat Trump by 4.5 points nationally,” Nolte wrote. “Polling at the time, according to the RealClearPolitics (RCP) national average, suggested Trump would lose by 7.2 points. In other words, Trump out-performed the polling.”
“Also of note is that not once during the 2020 election did the average of RCP national polls show Trump with a lead,” he continued. “Throughout the campaign, the closest Trump came to Biden was a four-point deficit.”
Nolte went on to reiterate the fact that Trump never once led the RCP polling average during the 2020 race, and also noted the fact that even traditionally left-wing polls show him performing well against Biden.
“Today, the RealClearPolitics poll of national polls shows Trump with an outright lead of 1.7 points,” Nolte added. “It bears repeating that this never happened once in 2020. Even left-wing pollsters show Trump doing well. The Marquette poll shows a tie. Quinnipiac only has Biden up two points. Rasmussen, one of the only pollsters that show Biden with a respectable approval rating, has Trump up by seven.”
Democrats have attempted to convince the American people that Trump should be in jail by throwing one witch hunt after another at him for over seven years now.
But based on the latest polling, they’ve clearly overplayed their hand with an indictment on charges most Americans can see right through.
