Democrats have allowed homelessness to become a pandemic.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is all smiles after Alvin Bragg just opened a murder case that will have Trump supporters clenching their fists in anger.
Democrat-controlled cities like New York are reaping the harvest of homelessness they’ve sowed with their radical left-wing policies.
Mentally ill homeless residents of these cities roam freely, and Democrat politicians allow even their homeless encampments to take over city streets, sidewalks, and public transportation.
This leads to senseless tragedies like one in New York where a mentally ill homeless man named Jordan Neely began ranting at passengers, threatening them and throwing garbage at them.
Neely was a multiple offender violent criminal, who brutally attacked a 7-year-old girl, and an elderly woman, among other crimes.
Passengers on the subway were clearly fearful of him.
So, a brave 24-year-old Marine veteran subdued Neely, and put the crazed homeless man in a chokehold to restrain him while other passengers held down his legs.
The homeless man later died from neck compression injuries and Soros-backed DA Alvin Bragg ruled the case a homicide.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) attacked the Marine veteran claiming he “murdered” Neely.
And not surprisingly, Black Lives Matter activists, always looking for a way to make a buck, descended to the subway platform where Neely died to protest and disrupt passengers.
Most unbiased experts on criminal justice and mental health say the reason mentally ill homeless men are allowed to freely roam the subways is because Bragg and other Soros-backed DA’s like him, do not enforce crimes.
Instead, Soros-backed DA’s merely respond to political pressure from groups like Black Lives Matter and Ocasio-Cortez and bring politically motivated charges against Marines, and Republicans to appease the unruly woke mob.
The rhetoric by AOC and other Democrats was so over the top, even Democrat New York City Mayor Eric Adams blasted AOC and other New York City Democrats such as comptroller Brad Lander for their irresponsible rhetoric.
“Well, both the Congresswoman and the Comptroller — the Comptroller’s a city-wide leader and I don’t think that’s very responsible at a time when we’re still investigating the situation. Let’s let the DA conduct his investigation with the law enforcement officials, to really interfere with that is not the right thing to do. And I’m going to be responsible and allow them to do their job and allow them to determine what exactly happened here,” Adams said during an interview with CNN.
But rather than combat the homelessness problem, some Democrat-run cities and states are set to make the homeless problem worse.
Oregon Democrats have proposed a law to decriminalize homeless encampments.
Even worse, they want to allow the homeless to sue for up to $1,000 if they are asked to leave the areas of Portland that they “colonized” with their tent cities.
New York is already experiencing the horrific and deadly cost of the Left’s utter dismissal of law and order.
Looks like Portland, already close to ruin, is next.
