Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is the leader of the far-left wing of the Democrat Party.
But her agenda just hit a brick wall.
That’s because America just hit one grim milestone that is bad news for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
Americans are facing skyrocketing crime and increasing attacks on police officers.
Democrats know it and are afraid of the looming backlash from voters so they’re to sweep their anti-police agenda under the rug.
After the death of George Floyd, Ocasio-Cortez emerged as the top proponent of the “Defund The Police” movement.
Democrats like Ocasio-Cortez blamed law enforcement for everything under the sun, even hurling insults at police for simply doing the tough job of providing law and order.
As a result, police are facing massive disrespect all across America.
And according to the National Fraternal Order of Police (FOP), 101 officers have been shot in the line of duty this year, with 17 of them killed while serving their communities.
Compared to this time last year, the number of officers shot is up 43 percent.
Since Ocasio-Cortez launched her “Defund The Police” movement in 2020, the number of officers shot has increased by 63 eprcent.
19 ambush-style attacks have taken place this year on police officers, which is a 36 percent increase from 2021.
“We are in the midst of a real crisis. The violence directed at law enforcement officers is unlike anything I’ve seen in my 36 years of law enforcement,” FOP President Patrick Yoes said.
“Last year was one of the most dangerous years for law enforcement, with more officers shot in the line of duty since the National Fraternal Order of Police began recording this data,” Yoes remarked.
Yoes added that the data this year shows that “we are outpacing last year’s numbers of officers shot and killed in the line of duty.”
“It is important to remember that when we look at these numbers, they represent people who are fathers, mothers, sons, and daughters,” he solemnly added.
Ocasio-Cortez and other radical Democrats have portrayed all police officers as violent racist thugs who wreak havoc on minorities.
Combined with their soft-on-crime approach, criminals were given the green light to run amok.
73 police officers were killed in the line of duty last year, which is the most since 1995.
After unleashing record violence against the police, leading to a crime tsunami in big cities, Democrats are hoping voters will forget about their support for “defunding the police.”
However, the skyrocketing crime rate combined with the increasing attacks on police officers will make it hard for Democrats to sweep their anti-police agenda under the rug.
