Many political observers are predicting the 2024 Election is going to be decided not by the voters, but in court.

That is not how it is supposed to be.

But Donald Trump did receive some huge news when Amy Coney Barrett made this one confession.

Justice Amy Coney Barrett just explained why Trump and censorship dominate the Court’s docket this year

The U.S. Supreme Court recently heard oral arguments on a case regarding laws in Texas and Florida that ban social media companies from censoring political candidates and viewpoints.

The Court is also set to hear oral arguments on a lawsuit brought by Texas and Missouri accusing the Biden administration of pressuring Facebook and Twitter to censor conservative critics of their pandemic policies.

The Supreme Court already unanimously rejected a scheme by Democrats to cancel the 2024 Election by banning former President Donald Trump from the ballot.

And on April 25, the Court will hear oral arguments on Donald Trump’s petition to dismiss Special Counsel Jack Smith’s charges for made-up crimes relating to January 6, claiming he had Presidential immunity.

In an appearance at George Washington Law School’s Civic Learning Week National Forum, Justice Amy Coney Barrett, sitting next to left-wing Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor, explained she believed intense political polarization is why there are so many Trump and censorship cases before the court.

“I feel like, maybe in this era of polarization — or some would say bitter polarization — that that ability to compromise is being lost,” Barrett stated. “But institutions, I think, reflect back some things that are present in the citizenry themselves. I think that’s true of our docket.”

Justice Barrett’s answer misses the mark

But Barrett danced around what is really going on without actually coming out and saying so.

“Justice O’Connor used to say, if you want to know what’s going on in America, then you can look at our docket, and you can see some of the battles that are being waged through litigation are often reflective of the battles that are being waged in society at large,” Barrett stated.

Barrett is right that the Court’s docket is reflective of society at large.

But what she left out is that the reason there are so many censorship and Trump cases is that Democrats completely lost their minds after Trump’s victory in the 2016 Election.

They have decided that every major institution in America should be organized for the one goal of keeping Trump out of power even if it means subverting democracy.

Democrats believe the only reason Trump won in 2016 was so-called “misinformation” online.

So they successfully pressured their ideological Big Tech allies to begin censoring conservatives to limit the flow of information to the American people to sources Democrats could count on to conform to the Left’s narratives.

Democrats also think the purpose of the bureaucracy and judicial system is to hijack the democratic process to end-run voters and block Trump from the White House even if the American people want to reelect him.

Barrett warned this is dangerous territory as the Court has now basically become the deciding factor in the 2024 Election.

And of course this is a position the founders never intended.

“Similarly, you challenge a court, because if the other two branches are overstepping, or not stepping up to their obligations, the citizenry is going to look to the courts to solve problems that it really shouldn’t,” Barrett added. “All of these present dangers to the society.”

Barrett is polite and she’s always looking to maintain a sense of collegiality with the left-wing Justices on the Court.

But this mindset caused Barrett to ignore the obvious cause of why there are so many politically charged cases before the Court in this election year.
