Senate Democrats have been trying to imply that Amy Barrett is just a pawn for President Trump’s political agenda.
But Barrett isn’t having any of it.
And Amy Coney Barrett said one thing about the election that obliterated Chuck Schumer and the Senate Democrats.
During the Senate Judiciary Committee Hearings for Judge Amy Coney Barret’s confirmation to the U.S. Supreme Court, the Democrats tried but failed to attack Barrett’s professional integrity.
They claimed that she wouldn’t be able to be an unbiased Justice on the court over a number of potential cases including Obamacare, the Second Amendment, and even the upcoming Presidential Election.
Even Chuck Schumer (D-NY), though he’s not a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, took to Twitter to slam Judge Barrett, saying she must recuse herself from anything involving the election.
Judge Barrett must immediately pledge to recuse herself from any cases involving the 2020 election.
She is refusing to stand up to President Trump.

Rather than listening to her responses on the issue, we heard from a number of Democrats who were scolding Barrett saying that she was incapable of being unbiased about Trump.
The truth is, Barrett doesn’t have to “stand up to President Trump” and that doing so would be an act of bias.
Judge Barrett completely dismantled the Democrats’ narrative, however, saying that she trusts her own professional integrity to be blind to the game of politics if she is to become a Supreme Court Justice.
“I certainly hope that all members of the committee have more confidence in my integrity than to think that I would allow myself to be used as a pawn to decide this election for the American people,” Barrett responded.
As many Senate Judiciary Committee Republican members pointed out, there is no legitimate reason to question Amy Coney Barrett’s professional and judicial integrity.
So for as much as the Democrats are claiming to know that Barrett won’t be an unbiased Justice, the reality is that they don’t want an unbiased member of the High Court to replace Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
Ginsburg was as far from an originalist or a textualist as you can get. She often put the “best outcome,” in her opinion, above the actual law in her decision making.
So the Democrats are losing their minds that Amy Coney Barrett won’t be a Justice to bend the knee to the leftist “progressive” agenda, and will instead uphold the law and the constitution like Justice Scalia did.
