Joe Biden’s only legitimate role as head of the executive branch is to enforce the law.
Instead, his main focus is on destroying the rule of law our nation is based on.
And Merrick Garland just made a dirty move for political gain with police officers paying the price.
The Left is bound and determined to milk the death of Louisville resident Breonna Taylor for even greater political advantage.
Her case was distorted and exploited as a means for Democrats to rally their party faithful after she was shot by police officers during a nighttime raid.
Her tragic death came after police conducted a “knock and announce” raid at her address.
Her boyfriend, Kenneth Walker, opened fire on police under the mistaken impression they were drug dealers.
Police had surveillance and jailhouse recordings proving that Taylor’s apartment was used as a known drop spot for drugs and cash.
When Louisville police returned fire they ended up killing Taylor while Walker was unharmed.
The corporate-controlled media quickly spread the lie that police not only used a “no-knock” raid and that they targeted the wrong house.
The Left absolutely blew up after the officers were cleared of murder charges.
But now the Department of Justice is making a last-ditch effort to distract their base from the fact that Biden and Friends broke the economy by whipping up even more hatred against the men in blue.
This latest effort — just ahead of the November Midterm elections — involves the Justice Department charging four of the officers with violating Taylor’s civil rights.
They’d prefer the drama of a murder trial, but thanks to states’ rights the feds can’t go after the officers for that one.
But they can still make them miserable and likely destroy their careers.
After all, the feds almost always win when they go to court.
Merrick Garland announced that, “The federal charges announced today allege that members of a Police Investigations Unit falsified the affidavit used to obtain the search warrant of Ms. Taylor’s home and that this act violated federal civil rights laws, and that those violations resulted in Ms. Taylor’s death… We share, but we cannot fully imagine, the grief felt by Breanna Taylor’s loved ones and all of those affected by the events of March 13, 2020. Breonna Taylor should be alive today.”
That’s a bold statement considering that we already know the FBI falsified a warrant application to the FISA court when they wanted to spy on the Trump campaign.
In fact, the whole controversy amounts to “political theater” according to Officer John Mattingly who was shot by Walker during the raid and later wrote about his experience in a book entitled 12 Seconds in the Dark.
Mattingly explained that the officers have been cooperating and that this is a clear case of political prosecution.
And it’s part of a disturbing trend.
Last year the Biden administration already pulled a similar trick by having parents investigated by the FBI for showing up at school board meetings.
