The 2024 Presidential election is heating up.
And it’s already shaping up to be one of the most unpredictable contests in recent memory.
Right now, the 2024 Presidential election is on track to be a hotly contested rematch between former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden.
But there is a growing belief that a wildcard will be thrown into the mix.
And that is the potential for one or more strong third-party candidates to emerge as a possible spoiler in what’s expected to already be a tight contest.
It is at least possible that a strong 3rd party candidate who pulls only 5-10% of the vote could completely change the outcome of the 2024 elections.
This theory is beginning to get a lot of play from all sorts of people.
During a recent interview on NBC’s Meet the Press, former Republican California Governor and action movie icon Arnold Schwarzenegger suggested that Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) could be such a potential 3rd party Presidential candidate.
“You know, I think, like, Joe Manchin is one of them that I think stands out because he is kind of like a center guy,” Schwarzenegger said. “He comes from an energy state, but he’s a Democrat. So he knows the challenges and all that. But he’s one of the guys that I think is really a great force.”
The Terminator star and leading GOP RINO said that Manchin is a potential contender in the 2024 Election when he was asked about possible candidates other than Donald Trump.
Schwarzenegger has repeatedly and aggressively attacked Trump, staying true to his liberal RINO philosophy.
“But there’s many others we just have to give in general — without endorsing anybody — I think we have to give people a chance to emerge,” Schwarzenegger explained.
He said that other Presidential candidates haven’t been able to break through because the political conversation has been dominated by Trump and Joe Biden.
“The political system is set up in such a way right now that Trump is kind of like taking the air out of everything, you know, and Biden is doing it on the other side,” Schwarzenegger said.
Schwarzenegger added that he would “love” to run for President but can’t because he was born in Austria.
Manchin has carved out a reputation for breaking with his party despite voting for every major bill signed into law by Biden.
The West Virginia lawmaker is up for re-election to the Senate in 2024 but he hasn’t announced his plans and whether he will seek reelection, run for President, or just fade off into the sunset.
He’s hinted about launching a third-party run for President rather than face what is sure to be an uphill reelection battle in increasingly Republican West Virginia.
An upstart political party founded by moderate Democrats, called No Labels, is reportedly recruiting Manchin to be the party’s 2024 Presidential candidate.
The party is currently securing ballot access in states so its candidate can be on the ballot and seems willing to spend tens of millions of dollars supporting its nominee.
Joe Manchin running on a third-party ticket has the potential to upend the 2024 Election as a spoiler candidate who most believe would take votes from Joe Biden.
Maybe even enough to return Donald Trump to the White House.
