Growing support around Ron DeSantis is making one former community organizer’s efforts look almost sad.
DeSantis just completely demolished records set by Democrats.
And while it’s still unknown whether Florida Governor Rod DeSantis will jump into the 2024 presidential race or wait until 2028, Barack Obama had no words when he saw what Ron DeSantis just pulled off.
What is indisputable, is the rising GOP star’s popularity.
DeSantis has become one of the highest-profile politicians in the country thanks to his success leading the Sunshine State over the past few years.
While the timing is still unknown, DeSantis’ future candidacy for president is a foregone conclusion.
That idea was seriously bolstered by DeSantis’ recent release of his memoir, The Courage to Be Free: Florida’s Blueprint for America’s Survival, detailing his successful tenure so far Governor of Florida.
The book covers everything the corporate-controlled media doesn’t want to reveal about his time as Governor, including how he managed to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic to his war on “wokeness.”
Releasing a memoir ahead of a running for president is a modern tradition for United States Presidential candidates.
It allows candidates to increase their name recognition, share their political vision in a compelling way, build a strong connection with potential voters, and prove their popularity through book sales.
When it comes to that final point, Governor DeSantis has obliterated the competition out of the water.
BookScan records reveal DeSantis’ memoir sold a stunning 94,300 copies in the first week it was out.
It shot straight to the top of the New York Times’ bestseller list becoming the top-selling book in the nation for the week it was released.
Conservatives were highly entertained to find out the GOP Governor’s memoir outpaced book sales of memoirs of both former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Hillary Clinton.
Before his 2008 Presidential campaign, Obama’s book, The Audacity of Hope, sold 67,500 print copies during its first week.
In 2014 Clinton’s memoir, Hard Choices, sold 86,200 print copies in its first week of sales.
Of course, the corporate-controlled media threw its weight behind making the release of both Clinton and Obama’s books successful with glowing reviews.
In comparison, a seething New York Times review asserted that in his book DeSantis’ came off as a “try-hard” sporting a “bullying sense of superiority.”
Yet, facing those headwinds, DeSantis managed to blow the competition out of the water with his phenomenal first week sales.
When it comes to the current GOP field, Governor DeSantis absolutely demolished former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, the only other major candidate to declare she’s running in 2024.
Haley has also published a book, If You Want Something Done: Leadership Lessons from Bold Women, but back in October it only managed to move 7,900 copies during its first week of sales.
As a New York Times best-selling author, DeSantis now also has the perfect excuse to travel the country on a book tour laying the groundwork for a future presidential campaign.
He recently took advantage of that by promoting his book in the critical caucus state of Iowa—that’s the first state a GOP candidate will have to win on the path to be the party’s candidate.
The record-breaking sales of Ron DeSantis’ book is more proof that many Americans are hoping Florida’s Governor will end up in the White House.
