Most Americans agree that Joe Biden isn’t the one calling the shots in the White House.
Some believe it’s Kamala Harris, while others say Barack Obama is still running the show.
And now Barack Obama just admitted the one thing about the Biden Administration that could cost Schumer and Pelosi their jobs.
Even though Democrats like to celebrate Obama’s two victories in 2008 and 2012, most experts agree that his wins were owed more to his celebrity-like status instead of his far-left agenda resonating with voters.
Of course, Democrat politicos understand this, which is why in 2020 Joe Biden made sure to deliver a clear message to voters that his Presidency would not serve as a third-term for the Obama agenda.
But in a recent interview with a New York Times columnist, Barack Obama essentially admitted that he’s still calling the shots in the White House, with 90% of the current staff being leftover from his administration.
“I think that what we’re seeing now, is Joe and the administration are essentially finishing the job,” Obama told Klein. “And I think it’ll be an interesting test. Ninety percent of the folks who were there in my administration, they are continuing and building on the policies we talked about…”
When Obama was not on the ballot during his Presidency — the 2010 and 2014 midterm elections — Democrats suffered historic losses.
So with Obama claiming the Biden administration is more of a ploy to push through more radical leftwing legislation that the Democrats weren’t able to secure under Obama’s tenure, it could end up costing Pelosi and Schumer their jobs if the American people reject the outcome of those policies come 2022.
During the eight years Obama was in office, Democrats lost roughly 1,000 seats at every level of government.
Should the 2022 midterm elections become a referendum on the policy agenda of Barack Obama, then Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer’s majorities will be at stake.
As all indicators point to the American people time and time again – when voting on issues of policy instead of political popularity – voting in the favor of conservative Republicans.
