The corporate-controlled media worships every move Barack Obama makes.
He’s not used to facing difficult questions from the press.
And Barack Obama never expected this huge scandal from his past to pop up during an interview with NBC.
Barack Obama recently sat down with NBC’s Al Roker for an interview.
During the discussion, Roker brought up Barack Obama’s failures in dealing with Russia during his two terms in office.
Unlike Barack Obama and Joe Biden, Donald Trump drew a tough line in the sand with Russian President Vladimir Putin and the diplomatic strength ensured things stayed as peaceful as possible.
Putin didn’t make any aggressive moves with Trump in the White House.
But things were much different both before and after Trump and Roker wanted to know if Obama believed Vladimir Putin had changed, or if he was the same world leader he dealt with during his eight years in office.
After falsely claiming he always saw Putin as a threat, Obama said Putin was now much more reckless.
“Putin has always been ruthless against his own people, as well as others,” Obama responded. “He has always been somebody who’s wrapped up in this twisted, distorted sense of grievance and ethnic nationalism. That part of Putin, I think, has always been there. What we have seen with the invasion of Ukraine is him being reckless in a way that you might not have anticipated eight, 10 years ago, but the danger was always there.”
During the 2012 Presidential race, Obama mocked Mitt Romney during the final debate for claiming Russia was America’s top enemy.
But Putin annexed Crimea in 2014 during Obama’s second term.
Roker pressed Obama on if he could have drawn a tougher line with Russia than he had on Crimea.
Obama could only claim the circumstances were different and pivot to the Left’s top talking point, claiming that Donald Trump and his supporters are a threat to American democracy.
“The situations in each of these circumstances are different, but I think that what we’re seeing consistently is a reminder of why it’s so important for us to not take our own democracy for granted, why it’s so important for us to stand for and align ourselves with those who believe in freedom and independence, and I think that the current administration’s doing what it needs to be doing,” Obama responded.
In 2014, on Obama’s watch, Putin annexed Crimea.
Then, he invaded Ukraine with Joe Biden in office.
Of course, during Donald Trump’s Presidency, Putin didn’t make any aggressive moves because Trump drew a tough line in the sand on Russia.
Trump withdrew the United States from arms control treaties that Russia cheated on and modernized the American nuclear force.
But Joe Biden ruined that by bungling his way through foreign policy in Afghanistan, opening the door for Putin to inflict these horrors on Ukraine.
