Everything Joe Biden touches falls apart.
Now it seems he has the perfect plan to mess up one of the only things he hasn’t destroyed since becoming President.
And once you find out what he’s up to now, you’ll be holding your breath.
Americans spent about 30% more for natural gas to heat their homes this winter, gasoline prices have reached an all-time high, and now Biden’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) chief is going after electric companies.
During a recent speech in Texas, EPA administrator Michael Regan outlined Biden’s plans to crack down on power plants.
“Folks, I’ve thought long and hard about this,” Regan told a room full of power company executives. “I know it’s complex. But we think there’s a way to do it and it protects public health and continues to give you the certainty you all need to expedite a clean energy future.”
It might be what they consider “clean”, but it’s not going to do Americans any good if they can’t afford to use it.
Even with the nation—and world—in crisis, leftists are completely obsessed with their climate hysteria.
Biden’s goal to upend all traditional sources of energy and switch over to so-called “clean energy” by 2035 is running amuck with everyone from Supreme Court justices to some Democrats in Congress.
The president of Edison Electric Institute told The Washington Post that power companies are all for reducing pollution as long as it doesn’t come at the expense of “the reliability and the affordability that our customers value.”
Affordable utilities have never been more important for American families.
The poverty rate across the nation already spiked from 11.4% in 2020 up to 17.8% in 2021—and Joe Biden was just getting started.
Americans already spent 30% more heating their homes last year and the price of gasoline has jumped up from an average $3.01/gallon last year to $4.25/gallon—some 14 cents higher than the prior all-time record high price in 2008.
The high costs of natural gas and fuel are both expected to drive up inflation at the grocery store even more this year as synthetic fertilizer—which is produced using natural gas—has already tripled in price and conventional farmers depend on vast amounts of fuel to produce crops.
The items in your grocery cart also travel an average 1,500 miles before you even get your hands on them.
If Biden manages to make electricity as unaffordable as everything else, millions of families are going to find themselves fighting to keep the lights on.
