Despite the regime’s explanations, inflation concerns are becoming front-and-center in most Americans’ minds.
Without any real excuses that would let them sweep inflation under the rug to voters, Democrats are now turning on the regime’s inflation catastrophe.
Former Obama auto czar Steve Rattner resorted to the pages of The New York Times to blow a whistle on Biden’s inflation freight train.
Rattner called the Biden socialist spending bills as the “original sin” for inflation in the economy.
He blasted Biden for not listening to his and other Democrats’ warnings that his spending plans would cause hyperinflation and blasted Biden’s talking point of transitory inflation saying, “enough already about ‘transitory’ inflation . . . terrible Consumer Price Index news shifts our inflation prospects strongly into the ‘embedded’ category.”
“The administration should come clean with voters about the impact of its spending plans on inflation,” Rattner added before concluding that “the White House needs to inject some real fiscal discipline into its thinking.”
That’s heavy stuff for a Democrat writing in the NYT – the corporate-controlled media’s newspaper – attacking a sitting Democrat President.
Rattner has been a major Democratic fundraiser since Bill Clinton’s presidency.
And he’s not the first Democrat to worry about the Biden administration’s inflation-inducing policies.
Former Clinton Treasury Secretary Larry Summers recently warned that inflation might topple the Biden Presidency in The Washington Post.
Now that prominent Democrats are warning about inflation, the Biden White House will be hard-pressed to spin their way out of it.
And that is bad news for centrist Democrats on the fence about voting for Biden’s $3.5 trillion “human infrastructure” program. Especially if they’re in red states and up for election in 2022.
