The disaster in Afghanistan even has many liberal media outlets asking Biden some very difficult questions.
For example, in a recent interview with CBS Senior White House Correspondent Ed O’Keefe, Biden was clearly blindsided by one of O’Keefe’s questions that cut right to the heart of the matter.
“A new poll out today shows Americans wanted to withdraw from Afghanistan, but they disapprove of the way you’ve handled it,” O’Keefe began.
“The poll also found that based on what’s transpired in the past week, a majority of Americans – forgive me, I’m just the messenger – no longer consider you to be competent, focused, or effective at the job,” O’Keefe continued.
Biden’s answer – “I haven’t seen that poll.”
First, no one cares, Mr. President, if you’ve seen the poll, they’re asking you to answer for your actions.
Second, while the media is starting to ask harder questions, they’re still walking on eggshells around Biden, as is evident by O’Keefe’s apology for asking such a “difficult” question.
There is no way any reporter would have apologized to Trump that way.
O’Keefe assured him the poll was genuine and again asked for Biden’s thoughts.
Biden responded, “Look, I had a basic decision to make. I either withdraw America from a 20-year war that, depending on who’s analysis you accept, cost us $150 million a day for 20 years or $300 million a day for 20 years. And you know I carry this card with me every day. And who, in fact, where we lost 2,448 Americans dead and 20,722 wounded. I either increase the number of forces we keep there and keep that going or I end the war. And I decided to end the war.”
After completing his rambling statement and not answering the question in any clear way, Biden, as he’s been doing quite a bit lately, snapped at O’Keefe.
“I don’t trust anybody, including you. I love ya, but, you know, there’s not a lot of people I trust,” Biden stated sharply.
The last few weeks have been rough for Joe Biden as his attempt to pull U.S. troops out of Afghanistan has ended in disaster.
Even worse is some of the reporters Biden typically counted on for softball questions appear to have had enough of his cagey answers.
Case in point, Biden was recently blindsided by this question from a “friendly” reporter.
The media spent the last four years blasting Donald Trump, so no one was surprised to see them fawn over Joe Biden when he took office.
Finally, the Left has what they wanted – a puppet.
Biden enjoyed quite the honeymoon phase with reporters asking easy questions and applauding his every decision.
Plus, Biden’s staff told him who to call on, so he was sure to be safe from any real policy questions.
Until now.
The world knows Biden is not capable of being the United States President – that’s why groups like the Taliban are comfortable making demands as they have over the last few weeks.
Biden has to know his time is done when even the Left is starting to question his tactics.
