Joe Biden skated through the first debate thanks to the assistance of Fox News host Chris Wallace.
So naturally, Biden and his team went on the attack the next day.
But Biden watched in horror as this attack ad just blew up in his face.
During the first Presidential debate, Joe Biden and Chris Wallace thought they caught President Trump in a “gotcha” moment over whether or not the President would condemn white supremacy.
When you watched the debate and listened to the moment, it was a chaotic exchange with both Wallace and Biden goading Trump on.
Of course, if you go back and read the transcript, it’s quite clear President Trump firmly and unequivocally condemned white supremacists.
But the Fake News Media pounced, claiming Trump wasn’t willing to condemn white supremacists.
The next day, Biden’s campaign tweeted out a video slamming President Trump for allegedly not condemning white supremacists and included an image of Kyle Rittenhouse, the 17-year-old outrageously arrested and charged with murder for allegedly killing two Black Lives Matter rioters after they physically attacked Rittenhouse during a riot.
Rittenhouse’s attorney wasn’t having it.
Lin Wood fired off several tweets threatening to sue the Biden campaign over the false claim that Rittenhouse is a white supremacist.
“Formal demand for public retraction is being prepared for Biden/Harris Campaign on behalf of Kyle Rittenhouse,” Wood wrote.
“I also hereby demand that @JoeBiden immediately retract his false accusation that Kyle is a white supremacist & militia member responsible for violence in Kenosha,” Wood continued.
“On behalf of Kyle Rittenhouse, I shall sue @JoeBiden & Biden/Harris Campaign for libel,” Wood added.
There’s absolutely no evidence that Kyle Rittenhouse is – or is in any way associated with – white supremacists.
But Biden and his team smeared Rittenhouse in an ad that’s now been viewed over 3.2 million times from the original tweet alone.
When presented with the facts, many Americans would be furious over Biden smearing a 17-year-old and would agree Rittenhouse was well within his rights to sue for damages.
