A majority of Americans have wanted Nancy Pelosi out of Congress, much less her leadership position, for years now.
She’s helped ensure the federal government has become the most destructive, unconstitutional, and increasingly authoritarian it has ever been.
But when you hear about the extremist Democrats replaced Nancy Pelosi with you’ll sadly want her back.
After House Democrats lost their majority in last month’s Midterms, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) chose to step aside as the Party’s leader after nearly 20 years in power.
That led House Democrats to vote to promote the caucus’ chairman, Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), to succeed Rep. Pelosi as the top Democrat in the House on Wednesday.
With the promotion, Rep. Jeffries became the first black lawmaker in American history to lead a political party’s caucus in either chamber.
Even with the corporate-controlled media fanfare that happens like clockwork in such instances, not to mention his prominent role in the Democrat Party over the past decade and a half, Jeffries has kept a relatively low profile, leaving many Americans totally unaware of his existence.
But as the news began to spread that he was succeeding Pelosi, so too has many of the past statements, issue positions, and schemes he’s put forward during his time in Washington, D.C.
And one scheme in particular proves Hakeem Jeffries will likely push House Democrats even further Left than Nancy Pelosi could have ever imagined.
Previously, Rep. Jeffries co-sponsored H.R. 40, the Commission to Study and Develop Reparation Proposals for African Americans Act, which would establish a 13-member commission to “examine slavery and discrimination in the colonies and the United States from 1619 to the present and recommend appropriate remedies.”
“Year after year, decade after decade, century after century, we’ve come a long way,” Jeffries said previously in regards to so-called structural racism. “But, you know, some notion of truth and reconciliation, how do we move forward toward a more perfect union, I think has got to be part of any conversation connected to H.R. 40.”
Essentially, Rep. Jeffries believes that the only way to end racial division and put America on a better path forward is to take money from white, hispanic, asian, and every other group of Americans and redistribute it to black Americans as reparations.
Jeffries had also pointed to South Africa, which in the aftermath of apartheid paid victims $4,600 in reparations in 2003, as a blueprint for how America should move forward.
“I would also suggest that part of what needs to happen is, you know, truth and reconciliation, similar to what was done in South Africa, where there was just — so that it wasn’t just a backward-looking examination,” Jeffries claimed. “It was, okay, how do we move forward as a society?”
He went on to suggest during a hearing for the reparations bill that while America was a “great country” that’s “come a long way,” because “systemic racism has been in the soil of this land since 1619,” the country is not simply going to move on” from slavery.
It’s difficult to see how a $4,600 check, like the reparations paid in South Africa, would change all of the “systemic racism” and “oppression” the Left claims permeates throughout America today.
It’s also difficult to wrap your head around the fact that Rep. Jeffries legitimately attempted to equate the plight of South Africans who faced apartheid and black Americans today – but of course, questioning the Left on such matters is rather dangerous.
Nevertheless, what is clear is the fact that without Nancy Pelosi in power, the Democrat Party will somehow be even more extreme under the leadership of Hakeem Jeffries.
