Bill and Hillary Clinton Caved When James Comer Made One Move That Had Them Squirming

The Clintons thought they were above the law.

Congress showed them otherwise.

And Bill and Hillary Clinton caved when James Comer made one move that had them squirming.

The Clintons Dodged Subpoenas For Months

Bill and Hillary Clinton spent months dodging congressional subpoenas about their ties to convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.

The House Oversight Committee issued subpoenas last August requiring both Clintons to testify under oath about their relationship with Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.

Bill Clinton was supposed to appear October 14, 2025.

His attorney claimed he needed to attend a funeral and asked to reschedule.

The committee moved it to December 17.

Then Clinton's lawyer asked to reschedule again for another funeral.

Committee Chairman James Comer told Clinton's attorney to propose dates in January.

The Clintons never provided any dates.

Instead, their attorney sent a letter arguing a deposition would be "unfair" and offered written statements instead.

Hillary Clinton followed the exact same pattern after missing her scheduled January 14 deposition.

The Clintons apparently thought Congress would just give up and go away.

Comer Dropped The Hammer

Comer wasn't playing games.

The Oversight Committee voted to hold both Clintons in contempt of Congress for defying legally binding subpoenas.

"The Clintons do not get to dictate the terms of lawful subpoenas," Comer posted on social media.

The full House followed with contempt votes that attracted bipartisan support.

Nine Democrats joined Republicans to advance the contempt resolution against Bill Clinton.

Three Democrats supported the one against Hillary.

Even Democrat Ranking Member Robert Garcia voted for contempt, saying "no one is above the law."

When Democrats are voting to hold the Clintons in contempt, you know the evidence is damning.

Criminal contempt of Congress carries up to one year in prison and $100,000 in fines.

More importantly, Trump's Justice Department would handle prosecution.

Peter Navarro and Steve Bannon both went to prison for contempt of Congress after defying January 6 committee subpoenas.

The Clintons knew that precedent meant they were looking at real jail time with Attorney General Pam Bondi running DOJ.

No more sweetheart deals from the Biden administration.

The Clintons Blinked

On Monday, with the House Rules Committee preparing floor votes on the contempt resolutions, the Clintons suddenly reversed course.

Their attorneys sent an email to the committee accepting the terms Comer outlined.

Spokesman Angel Ureña posted on social media that both Clintons would comply.

"They negotiated in good faith. You did not," Ureña wrote.

"But the former President and former Secretary of State will be there and look forward to setting a precedent that applies to everyone."

The House immediately paused contempt proceedings.

But Comer isn't declaring victory yet.

"The Clintons' counsel has said they agree to terms, but those terms lack clarity yet again, and they have provided no dates for their depositions," Comer said in a statement.

"The only reason they have said they agree to terms is because the House has moved forward with contempt."

Translation: The Clintons caved because they finally faced real consequences.

Comer said he would clarify the terms with committee members before taking next steps.

For once, being a Clinton isn't enough to dodge accountability.

What Congress Wants To Know

The Oversight Committee has serious questions about the Clintons' relationship with Epstein and Maxwell.

Epstein's pilot logs documented Bill Clinton aboard the private jet at least 16 times during 2002 and 2003.

Recently released documents included photos of Clinton with Epstein and a shirtless Clinton in a hot tub with someone DOJ officials described as an Epstein victim.

Emails show frequent communications between Maxwell and Clinton's staff from 2001 through 2004.

In one exchange, Maxwell asked Clinton's office if he wanted to attend a dinner, writing "JE says do you think Clinton would like to come."

Maxwell was publicly accused of recruiting underage girls for Epstein in 2009.

Yet she remained welcome in Clinton circles, showing up at the Clinton Foundation's flagship event in September 2013 where she was honored for her ocean conservation nonprofit.

Four years after Maxwell was exposed as a child sex trafficker, the Clintons gave her a platform at their foundation's signature conference.

The committee wants to know what the Clintons knew about Epstein's sex trafficking operation while it was happening.

Hillary Clinton served as Secretary of State from 2009 to 2013, overseeing U.S. efforts to combat international sex trafficking.

She was supposed to be stopping exactly what Epstein and Maxwell were doing.

Instead, Maxwell was getting honored at Clinton Foundation galas.

Epstein contributed $20,000 to Hillary's 2000 Senate campaign.

The committee argues the Clintons' testimony could inform legislative reforms to prevent sex trafficking rings from operating behind the shield of powerful political connections.

The Protection Racket Nobody's Talking About

Epstein and Maxwell cultivated relationships with powerful people specifically to protect themselves – and, obviously to most Americans, some of these same powerful friends – from scrutiny and prosecution.

Bill Clinton flew on the "Lolita Express" 16 times while Epstein was trafficking underage girls.

Hillary took Epstein's campaign cash, then four years into her role running U.S. anti-trafficking efforts, she's hosting his accomplice at foundation events.

This is how elite protection rackets work.

Stay close to the right people, and the law somehow never catches up to you.

Epstein got a sweetheart plea deal in 2008 that let him serve 13 months in a county jail with work release.

He walked out essentially unpunished despite trafficking dozens of underage girls.

Who had his back during those years?

Now Congress wants answers about whether the Clinton connection was part of that protection scheme.

The Trump Administration isn't going to bury this like past administrations did.

Attorney General Pam Bondi made clear that investigating Epstein's elite enablers is a top priority.

The Clintons spent months trying to avoid testifying because they know what's in those documents.

They know what questions Congress is going to ask.

And they know their answers are going to make a lot of powerful people very uncomfortable.

The only reason they finally agreed to testify is because Comer called their bluff and they're actually facing prison time.
