The mainstream media hasn’t been able to hide the reality on the border for a long time.
They’re still desperately trying everything they can to trip up Trump and his political allies though.
But Byron Donalds lowered the boom on an NBC host and instantly deflated her sails with one brutal truth.
NBC’s due process delusion
NBC News anchor Kristen Welker thought she had Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) cornered on Meet the Press.
She suggested illegal aliens deserve full “due process” under the Constitution’s Fifth Amendment.
Welker clearly intended to paint Trump’s deportation plans as unconstitutional.
Big mistake.
Donalds instantly turned the tables on the left-wing host with a jaw-dropping response that stunned her into silence.
“First and foremost, when the framers wrote our Constitution, they never envisioned that there would be an executive that would allow millions of people to come into the country illegally. They never fathomed that,” Donalds fired back.
You could almost hear the air rush out of Welker’s sails.
Biden’s border nightmare exposed
The numbers don’t lie.
Customs and Border Protection recorded a staggering 8.5 million migrant encounters at the southern border during Biden’s single term.
That’s more people than live in 38 individual states.
Donalds hammered home this devastating reality with a question Welker couldn’t answer.
“Number two, more importantly, you have a situation right now — is it okay for any administration to not follow the law, abuse border security laws, let millions of people in, and then hide behind a court system to say, ‘Well, now they’re here, so now we have to go through a lengthy process’?” he demanded.
The Florida Congressman wasn’t finished dismantling her argument.
“Let’s examine this right now. Right now what we know is that when people came into the country illegally, almost 90% of them would not even go to the hearings,” Donalds explained. “So if you’re supposed to show up for a hearing and you do not go, what are we supposed to do as a country at that point?”

Welker had no response. She couldn’t defend the indefensible.
Trump slams media’s impossible demands
President Trump faced identical ambush tactics when Welker interviewed him on Meet the Press.
But Trump, like Donalds, refused to play her game.
“If you’re talking about that, then we’d have to have a million or 2 million or 3 million trials,” Trump shot back. “We have thousands of people that are some murderers and some drug dealers and some of the worst people on Earth … And I was elected to get them the h*** out of here and the courts are holding me from doing it.”
Trump’s blunt assessment exposes what Biden’s border disaster has wrought on America.
Biden presided over the highest level of net migration in American history.
Things got so bad that the House impeached Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas in February 2024.
Senate Democrats scurried to shield him from accountability.
Democrats choose MS-13 over Americans
The Democrat Party’s priorities couldn’t be clearer.
When the Trump administration deported alleged MS-13 gang member Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia to El Salvador, Democrats erupted in outrage.
Some even traveled to El Salvador demanding his return to American soil.
The Supreme Court ruled on April 10 that the Trump administration must “facilitate” Abrego Garcia’s “release from custody in El Salvador” and “ensure that his case is handled as it would have been” prior to his deportation.
This is the Left’s idea of justice – fighting tooth and nail for gang members while American communities are overrun.
Donalds and Trump are simply stating what everyday Americans already know – the system was never designed to process millions of illegal border crossers.
The Constitution wasn’t written to protect illegal immigrants but American citizens.
It’s right there in the very first words – “We the People of the United States, . . .”
When 90% of illegal aliens skip their court hearings, “due process” becomes a sick joke at America’s expense.
The only real solution is what Trump has promised all along – secure the border and deport those who broke our laws to enter.
