The woke mob tried to take out Roseanne Barr.
Leftists in Hollywood tried to completely destroy Roseanne Barr’s career after she cracked a joke about former Barack Obama adviser Valarie Jarrett on Twitter.
But efforts to silence Barr backfired on the “woke” mob and now she’s roaring back from getting canceled with a load of new material.
Barr later said that tweet “cost me everything.”
The price included losing her lead role in the revival of her namesake show, Roseanne.
ABC script writers on the show killed her off by pretending her character died from overdosing on opioids (apparently Hollywood’s preferred way to dispense of Trump supporters).
Then the network renamed the show The Connors.
But without Barr’s signature snark, ratings are declining and it looks like the sitcom series is about to be canceled for good.
Meanwhile, the 70-year-old Barr is back in the limelight with her first stand-up comedy special in about 7 years.
Her new show, Cancel This!, will air on Fox Nation.
And she’s taking woke culture head on.
At one point in the performance she announces, “My pronouns are kiss my ass!”
The cultural shift to embrace “preferred pronouns” has completely baffled every normal person who hasn’t bought into the Democrats’ radical left-wing gender insanity that’s leaked out of university campuses and big tech c-suites.
Barr noted that the left-wing radicals coming up with this nonsense have “no concept of reality, they’ve been living in a bubble forever, asking questions that have nothing to do with the real world. ‘What is my gender, Mom?’ What is my gender? Your gender is, get a job! That’s your gender.”
Barr clearly doesn’t buy the new idea that there are somehow upwards of 28 different genders.
“What are they thinking?” Barr continued. “What is a woman? They don’t know that. That one they’re asking all the time. What is a woman? I’ll tell you what a woman is: a woman is me.”
Sadly, Barr isn’t exaggerating when it comes to the Left’s sudden inability to define what a woman is.
Conservative commentator Matt Walsh highlighted that in his documentary, What Is a Woman?
Walsh exposed the so-called leftist “intellectuals” by interviewing “gender scholars” who couldn’t answer “What is a woman?”
According to supposed experts he consulted, a woman is anyone who identifies as a woman.
Barr’s definition is significantly more concrete.
“A woman is somebody whose boobs hang down to her knees with a prolapsed uterus from giving birth to five ungrateful little privilege sh*ts who never have to work for anything in their whole damn lives,” Barr explained in her special.
It’s about time for someone to speak out against the radical left.
Americans will know cancel culture is finally starting to recede when more celebrities jump in with Barr and others trying to pull culture back closer to reality.
Speaking to reporters about her “cancellation,” Barr said, “I’ve survived. I’ve come out on the other side of it, finally. But it was a witch-burning. And it was terrifying. It was.”
“I would die many times,” she continued. “I guess you would call it the dark night of the soul. I felt like the devil himself was coming against me to try to tear me apart, to punish me for believing in God.”
But the only way out of the culture quagmire our country has found itself in is to push back against the woke insanity.
