Joe Biden’s failures are causing a lot of headaches for Democrats.
Chuck Schumer is trying to run damage control for the President after Americans were left baffled by Joe Biden’s decision to allow a Chinese spy balloon to travel across the entire United States before finally shooting it down over the Atlantic Ocean.
Democrats are on their heels after three more unidentified flying objects were reported shot down over North American airspace.
But Joe Biden is silent about the objects and continues to allow China to walk all over him.
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer appeared on ABC’s This Week where he tried to defend Biden’s handling of the balloon and other objects.
Host George Stephanopoulos asked about the other suspected Chinese spy balloons that were shot down over Alaska and Canada.
Schumer said these objects were smaller in size than the first one that traveled across the entire country.
“The first balloon, there was a much different rationale, which I think was the appropriate rationale,” Schumer said. “We got enormous intelligence information from surveilling the balloon as it went over the United States.”
“Didn’t the Chinese get enormous surveillance as well?” a puzzled Stephanopolous asked.
“Well, they could have been getting anyway,” Schumer replied.
Schumer embarrassed himself in front of the entire country with his laughable attempt to defend Joe Biden.
After all, the Chinese would have never sent the balloon if they were already gathering the intelligence.
But the fact that Schumer says they wouldn’t gather any new intelligence also raises concerns about whether our nation’s national security secrets have been compromised by Biden.
High altitude balloons offer a few unique advantages over spy satellites when it comes to collecting intelligence, so shooting the balloon down immediately would have prevented the Chinese from spying on military bases.
Despite the fact that America did nothing when China violated its airspace, Schumer concluded by claiming the Chinese were “humiliated” and “caught lying” by Joe Biden.
And Schumer embarrassed himself by trying to justify Joe Biden’s horrific handling of the growing threat posed by Communist China.
