Chuck Schumer breathed a sigh of relief after Republicans failed to win back the Senate in November’s Midterms.
But with Democrats still clinging to an extraordinarily thin majority he knows that the slightest misstep could change everything.
And now Chuck Schumer flipped his lid after the skeletons in this Democrat’s closet were exposed.
While many Democrats may have believed that they were in the clear after avoiding what should have been a major defeat in the 2022 Midterms, reality is now starting to set in.
With just a two-seat majority in the Senate and a host of tough matchups on the slate, top Democrats, like Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), know that the Party cannot afford many self-inflicted wounds.
And one of the states Democrats have circled as a top priority is the battleground state of Arizona.
Senator Krysten Sinema (I-AZ) currently holds the seat, but she also chose to leave the Democrat Party to become an Independent back in December, leaving Democrats searching for a new candidate in what will likely be the only true three candidate Senate races in the country.
Thus far, the only Democrat to officially challenge Senator Sinema has been Congressman Rueben Gallego (D-AZ), who many so-called “experts” have labeled as a potential frontrunner for the seat.
But as former Arizona Gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake put it, Rep. Gallego is “the AOC of Arizona,” and his extremist track record is coming back to haunt him.
One of the first hires Gallego made as he began staffing up his campaign was Rebecca Katz, a Democrat strategist who last worked for radical Senator John Fetterman’s (D-PA) campaign, and has long been an avid supporter of socialist Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT).
To the surprise of no one, with such a pedigree, Katz’ social media history reads like an excerpt from Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals.
After the murder of George Floyd in the summer of 2020, Katz claimed totally “peaceful protestors” were “getting the s— beat out of them” by police officers.
“We don’t have to imagine this,” Katz claimed on social media at the time. “We’ve seen black people with no weapons getting the s**t beat out of them for peacefully protesting all over the country. The police are most certainly not standing by and watching.”
On top of Katz, Rep. Galllego’s new head of Latino outreach, Chuck Rocha, also claimed on social media back in 2020 that law enforcement was carrying out beatings of totally peaceful black Americans.
Radical left-wing political operatives, like Katz and Rocha, have been at the heart of Democrats’ extremist push in recent years, working behind the scenes to advance their most insane agenda items, like the whole “Defund The Police” movement.
But in front of the cameras, Democrat politicians – well, those outside of the likes of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’ (D-NY) and her “Squad” – have been attempting to run away from the idea of defunding the police.
That’s because they know that in battleground states, like Arizona, such extremist views aren’t going to play with the swing voters who ultimately decide every race.
Nevertheless, as National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) spokeswoman Maggie Abboud pointed out, Rep. Gallego is still choosing to staff his Senate campaign with anti-police radicals who push the exact policies that have skyrocketed crime in Democrat-controlled cities.
“Ruben Gallego is stocking his campaign with anti-police radicals,” Abboud told Fox News. “Arizona families can’t trust Gallego to stand up to Democrats’ ‘Defund The Police’ movement.”
And much to Chuck Schumer’s chagrin, Ruben Gallego’s extremism could very well cost Democrats’ big in the battle for control of the Senate in 2024.
