But Schumer has run into one big problem with his plans.

Donald Trump has tasked Elon Musk with running the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
The goal of DOGE is to identify at least one trillion dollars in spending cuts to start the process of putting America’s fiscal house back in order.
The Democrat Party has struggled mightily since the election to try and develop a coherent message and line of attack against Donald Trump.
The simple fact is that Americans totally rejected the Democrat Party’s cultural, economic, and foreign policy agenda by re-electing Donald Trump in a landslide.
Now, Democrats have finally picked a fight with Donald Trump.
And the battle they chose was over Elon Musk and DOGE’s recommendation to shut down the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
Musk and his DOGE team discovered that USAID used its $44 billion budget to fund leftist opposition parties and internet censorship around the world.
It turns out USAID is spending billions of taxpayer dollars in foreign countries on things USAID refuses to explain.

But Democrats have seemingly already forgotten that the message voters sent to Democrats in November was that the party has lost its way by becoming the party of institutional power and forgetting the working men and women of America.
Democrats’ first big fight with Donald Trump after the election was to defend the deep state and all its outrageous spending.
Chuck Schumer tried to draw the battle lines by falsely claiming DOGE is a “shadow government.”
He conveniently ignores that Presidents of both parties have created blue-ribbon commissions to study critical national problems and offer solutions.
Schumer also falsely claimed DOGE was canceling spending programs or shutting down entire departments.
“An unelected shadow government is conducting a hostile takeover of the federal government. DOGE is not a real government agency. DOGE has no authority to make spending decisions. DOGE has no authority to shut programs down or to ignore federal law. DOGE’s conduct cannot be allowed to stand. Congress must take action to restore the rule of law,” Schumer wrote on X.
But Elon Musk replied to Schumer by mocking his manufactured hysteria.
“Hysterical reactions like this is how you know that @DOGE is doing work that really matters,” Musk began.
Musk further explained that Trump’s election was the one chance to break the deep state’s grip on government by getting rid of unelected bureaucrats that pursue their own radical agenda no matter who got elected President.
“This is the one shot the American people have to defeat BUREAUcracy, rule of the bureaucrats, and restore DEMOCracy, rule of the people. We’re never going to get another chance like this,” Musk added.
Musk told Americans that supporting DOGE meant supporting returning power back to the people to choose elected representatives who will act in the public’s interests as opposed to those of the swamp.
“It’s now or never. Your support is crucial to the success of the revolution of the people,” Musk concluded.
