Chuck Schumer mocked Republicans for accusing Democrats of hatching an over-the-top plan.

But what Democrats just did to make him look foolish is also infuriating average Americans.
Democrats have declared war on all modern conveniences in the name of protecting the environment.
Now, their obsession with climate change has resulted in an unbelievable level of government overreach.
The upshot is that living the good life in America is quickly becoming illegal—with blue state residents being made miserable first.
Hints about what was coming down the pike this year were revealed when a member of the Consumer Product Safety Commission (appointed by Joe Biden) made the outrageous claim that gas stoves should be banned to prevent childhood respiratory problems allegedly associated with their use.
The rationale for the potential ban was provided by a so-called “study” put together by radical left-wing environmental activists who cobbled together faulty data to get the answer they wanted.
Naturally, Americans were outraged by the Biden Regime’s latest government overreach plot and the administration made an immediate about turn claiming it was much ado about nothing.
Meanwhile, Democrats and their buddies in the corporate-controlled media were busy mocking working class Americans and consumer groups.
They claimed that a gas stove ban was never being considered.
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) used that inflection point to go after Republicans.
“Nobody is taking away your gas stove,” Schumer argued on social media. “Shameless and desperate MAGA Republicans are showing us they will cook up any distraction to divert from real issues the American people want solved, like the debt ceiling.”
“At first you have to laugh at the ‘gas stove ban’ narrative being cooked up by the MAGA GOP,” Schumer continued in a statement.

The problem is, the unhinged leftists in Schumer’s own state really are that out of control.
Soon after Schumer mocked Republicans for warning about coming gas stove bans, New York unilaterally instituted the most authoritarian ban on gas stoves in the country’s history.
The Empire State’s New York’s mind boggling $229 billion budget includes plans to eliminate gas hookups in all new residential buildings in the next seven years.
The new rule makes New York the first state to implement a comprehensive ban on natural gas, along with other fossil fuels, in new residential construction.
That means New Yorkers have now had their home options eliminated by overreaching politicians.
Of course, Schumer likely knew he was lying when he mocked Republicans for warning Americans that climate activists were coming after their gas stoves.
In addition to the entire state of New York, Democrat-controlled cities in several blue states, including California, Massachusetts and Washington, have also banned the use of gas stoves in new construction.
Like Senator Schumer, the Biden Regime is saying what the public wants to hear while secretly letting radical climate activists dictate what is and isn’t allowed to happen inside Americans’ homes.
The Department of Energy has already proposed new energy efficiency standards for gas stoves that would immediately take half of the current models sold off the market.
Republicans were right when they called out Democrats for going after gas stoves.
Now Congressional Republicans are trying to push through legislation that would protect gas stoves from being banned.
Meanwhile, Democrats have turned to flat-out lying about their radical left-wing environmental agenda since the truth is too outrageous to justify.
